It's Quiet - a new dawn

Football is a business, we are fans.

While we want these transfers pushed through as quickly as possible to feed our muppet needs the club have other targets.

The aim is to get the guys in for pre season and hopefully the US tour. It may be that we are haggling over £ 3-4 million per player. We may think it is worth negotiating for another week to try and get them in and save the cash. By the same score we may then get to the end of the week and just pay up the difference to get them in.

You always try to get the best deal possible and if by waiting another week we can save ourselves £10 million then so be it.

All the signs are positive, our targets are quiet the club is quiet. We don't a[[ear to be getting linked with fall back options and so it looks like everything is on track.

The recent long drawn out transfers have seen us paying the asking price of the selling club - Sterling, kdb, Stones come to mind.

I personally find our lack of urgency on the fullback positions quite staggering to be honest. was delighted with ederson and bernardo coming in so quick but to be starting back in pre season training with no new full backs is bemusing to say the least. yes I know the season doesn't start for a while yet but these areas should have been sorted first. we should have also known that other clubs had realised that we had released all our decent fullbacks and were going to be looking at high prices due to our urgent needs.

Have to agree with that. I don't quite understand what is going on.

So rosler said Sanchez and alves this week ? If it comes off then he will have ledgendary status

When they start doing ball work this week in training surely they will want to use full backs in the drills. Sane and Sterling cant just practise against cones.....
Also in an attacking sense we would want to get Walker, Mendy, Alves fully up to speed with what we want them to do?

It is strange we haven’t got them signed and ready for today.
