It's Quiet - a new dawn

If we're selling Delph and Fernando, and Garcia's going out on loan, then surely we need another DM, especially considering the age of Dinho and Yaya.

Not seeing many links to CM's, but I'm hoping of one!

So antagonising United and getting media attention from their supporters was the only reason, the main reason we are currently owned by Mansour today, as almir is saying, or was it just another incidental?

If that's what you heard, that the only reason he owns us is United, I'll bow to your greater knowledge.

No, he didn't say it was the only reason, did he? I read you say it wasn't even a consideration, but it definitely was at our end mate. We pushed it as a major selling point, certainly as much as we did the stadium and the support. Truth is no single issue swung it, but it may not have happened without all of them. We were the perfect soup for them.

Danilo was bought to provide cover not just for RB and LB, but also CDM. Between Gundogan, Fernandinho and Yaya though I think we'll be fine in that position.

Next summer it's probably going to be the priority position though as we'll likely let Yaya go and extend Fernandinho's contract by only one seaosn

I'd like to see Stones there where there's less pressure on his defensive work. Makes sense too if we are in the market for another CB.

Just a few pieces to fit in the jigsaw.
What a squad.
The triangles Walker-De Bruyne-Sterling and Mendy-D Silva-Sane are going to be awesome.

A: Sanchez
B: Foden. I know he's young but with D. Silva, B. Silva, De Bruyne and Gundogan capable of filling that position I think he'll be fine for league cup and the odd 20 mins in the league when we're winning by 2 or 3.
C/D: A new CB that can also play LB. Plus with Adarabioyo filling a similar role to what I suggested Foden could fill in the midfield.

I'd also keep Roberts in the squad unless a loan opportunity to a premier league or la liga club came up. He stands to gain nothing from going out on loan to Celtic again.

Oil producers like the Bin Ladens from Saudi Arabia got into bed with Bush and were able to buy massive amounts of land and factories particularly within Texas. In other words they invested their dollars.
I see our owner doing a similar thing via his CFG Holding on a global scale using football as the catalyst of introduction.

Just a guess of the money to come, adding to the sales so far, should recoup about £120m.

Nacho £25m
Delph £12m
Fernando £8m
Bony £14m
Nasri £13m
Mangala £15m

So if we can shift those six we can get three in;

Left Back
Centre Half
Striker

Considering all the ins and outs that have happened so far that's still a lot to do by the end of August. Virtually a deal every 4 days.

Revolution rather than evolution.

Interesting times right till the end of the window.
