What do you think Monaco's intentions are with these Mbappe contract extension talks?
Are they really trying to keep hold of the player, or are they just trying to somehow maximise their return. I don't see how that would work for them. The agent is going to insist on a release clause at a value probably less than what they will get now. And it's risky for them keeping him when they've sold most of their best players. They'll probably slip out of Europe, and title contention, and he wont have the profile he does now. So what are they up to? is it just meaningless empty talk just trying to drag the City v Real Madrid auction out until one blinks and pays more? I think it looks good for City at the moment, but there's a lot of speculation out there as ever with transfers.
