I'd agree in that it wont be anyone if Mangala isn't moved, and I'd be glad if he stays tbh, but I'll hold firm in thinking Boateng will be Pep's choice.

Read some very good posts on here and some not so good ones. Am just not convinced tbat our owners would blow open the wage structure for this kid and upset the balance (even if the media inflate any figure given). And also when/if the kid has to sign a contract extension, i mean where do you go if he's rag/Real wages? So I think he'll get parity if not less and make up big differences with image rights, bonus etc. If that is the case (and even if not) all for this signing. Kifs going to a be legend, he just has that....how do the french say it?...je ne sais quoi... ;)

Serious seems like Mangala's staying.. I think he deserves another chance he's physically got it all to be a top class centre back in the premier league, he just needs to Improve on his distribution. I'd rather him than Otamendi IMO

If we go far in the 4 comps, they could share 60 odd games between them. Just depends on who misses out on the big games I suppose.

If the 17 foreigner players were...
4 FW: Mbappe, Sanzhez, Aguero, Jesus
4 AM: Silva, Bernardo, KDB, Sane
3 CM: Yaya, Fernandinho, Gundogan
4 DF: Kompany, Otamendi, Danilo, Mendy
2 GK: Ederson, Bravo

And our 3 of 4 English players were Sterling, Walker and Stones....

We'd be short a 3rd keeper, a center defender and a full back. And none of them could be foreign unless someone goes from the 17.

So we have 2 issues...
1. A squad that is too top heavy attacking wise to fit into the 17+4 rule (unless I'm not understanding that properly)
2. A squad that needs at least 1 new English player but... which is a problem because ...
....a. There are no good English players about that fit neatly into our squad
....b. They are always over-priced and our money is spent after Mbappe and Sanchez you'd think.

But then again we may get neither and we can keep Mangala. And relax. :-)
