Reports coming in that he has rejected a contract extension twice. Will be a superb addition if he comes.

Apparently he wants a contract with a 23.5mil release clause which basically is him looking for a move surely.I see alderweireld isn't signing a new contract and is being linked with us?
We should have been in for him as soon as he was done at Southampton. Still frustrates me that spurs for Vertonghen and Alderweireld for about 25mil combined.

So you agree that an Argentine striker nearing the end of his career was purchased for more than 70 million by a team in a league that is notorious for not paying high transfer fees.
So, we are crazy to expect 70 million for Aguero?

Yep. We'll be making it fairly clear he's unwanted and he is unlikely to sign a long term deal as he wants to go back home in 2 years. Alderweireld is on 53k a week currently so could easily double that elsewhere.
Spurs' wage policy is admirable, but now some of their best players are seeing themselves compete for top honours now they want the wages their colleagues around them are receiving.
Kane for example could quite easily demand 200k a week this summer.
