Hmm do you not trust a manager with a good track record of bringing through young players who has seen him both live and frequently in training to know what he is doing then?

And if Girona gains promotion, which they look likely to, we might loan him out there another year. Shouldn't be too hard with our connections with them. Playing La Liga football will do him good before coming back to City competing for the right back position.
That's why I don't want him. Its the ageist in me. I like guys 23 or younger as our recruits. I'll take the odd 25 or 26 year old. But 28 and above are strictly for backups not the guy who should hp carry your team. Or else you are in the middle of another search for their replacement in a year.Even though Sanchez is indubitably one of the best players in the league, one has to wonder if there are alternatives available who would represent a far greater value for money. It wouldn't be incomprehensible if he began to decline within the next 12-18 months.
He'll be used to getting cards then,he'll fit right inHe's played every game, got sent off in the last minute 2 weeks ago and then sarcastically applauded the ref so got an extra 2 games on top of the 1 match ban for the red card...They seem to like him though.

Another unnecessary loan, great.
The lad was told publicly the only reason he wasn't getting played was because he didn't have the same experience of playing in front of live crowds in games that matter that the La Masia kids have after time with Barca B. So he went and got that experience and now he's going to get shafted by Pep's preference for a very limited 31 year old winger being chucked into RB.
Sure, it would have been much better if he came back as second choice right back. There would have been no shortage of games for him next year. But if Navas stays another year, I find it unlikely we keep him on as a thirds right back. Another year in Spain does him well, he will face quality opposition and come back more mature and experienced and still only 21 when the 2018/19 season starts.
Do we know there is truth to what would be a shocking statement that Jesus has signed an extension?Pep said in a press conference he just needed some experience in front of crowds so Pep could trust him like he trusted the kids in La Masia who played in the division below Girona. Evidently that was a lie, as he's gone and gotten that experience and Guardiola is now blocking off his path to the team by signing a guy who at best you could say hasn't been a disaster filling in at RB, but still manages to offer less going forward than Zabaleta who's so old can barely get to the overlap.
If this happens there's no way to sugar coat the fact Guardiola is screwing over the kids for the benefit of ageing senior pro's who have no business even being in the squad.

Sam Lee is as reliable as City journalists get these days isn't he, and it's not exactly the first time it's been rumoured since he went to RB.
