On that note, I think Walker is probably our most advanced potential transfer at the minute.
That being the case, it seems unlikely that Navas would be anything more than a stop-gap solution, especially given the nature of the rumoured deal being only one year.
Ultimately, City will want a young, long term option at right back, as is the way the squad is going as a whole. I could see Maffeo being developed with that in mind.
I'm not sure. He was in the squad to start this season, but if Girona do indeed get promoted then there would be an argument to seeing Maffeo handle some regular playtime in La Liga, rather than have him warm the bench awaiting a Walker breakdown.
I have no doubt he'll impress over the summer though.
