You don't know everything that's the point he was trying to make
Your opinion and criticism is based on what you know and think your entitled to that and feel free to share it with us but you don't know everything and should cover your arse with a IMHO
You beat me to it, he keeps stating things as fact and when he's pulled up on his 'facts' he substitutes other 'facts' and just forgets his original statement. Almost troll like you'd have to say.

It's a forum for discussion about transfers, not flapping about academy lads and making unsubstantiated claims about why Pep sends them on loan.

It's a discussion about what's happening with our right back situation and that involves both Maffeo and Navas.

If everyone stopped getting arsey with each other then there would be zero issue.

Edit: @tolmie's hairdoo we need some videos in here, stat
TBF if Maffeo is being included in the squad next season then that affects our transfer strategy, I for one think he will.

On that note, I think Walker is probably our most advanced potential transfer at the minute.

That being the case, it seems unlikely that Navas would be anything more than a stop-gap solution, especially given the nature of the rumoured deal being only one year.

Ultimately, City will want a young, long term option at right back, as is the way the squad is going as a whole. I could see Maffeo being developed with that in mind.

I'm not sure. He was in the squad to start this season, but if Girona do indeed get promoted then there would be an argument to seeing Maffeo handle some regular playtime in La Liga, rather than have him warm the bench awaiting a Walker breakdown.

I have no doubt he'll impress over the summer though.

Well that's discuss then and how about people do it with a bit of respect to other members if they disagree with their opinion instead of dragging it on for page after page
Maffeo should go on loan again keep navas for a year then bring maffeo into the first team if pep thinks he is ready to make the step up

Pep has already said that he prefers a smaller squad but realises that it's just not possible in the pl, I think that's why navas is getting the 1 year extension as he's very adaptable on that wing.

Completely agree here, things get needlessly out of hand.

Like I said last week, if Navas is in solely as an emergency backup rather than for regular rotation then I can understand it. And if it means that we end up with a top quality RB and saving some extra funds for other positions then I'm fully behind it. But I guess those questions won't be answered until at least the start of the season.

I'm finally warming to the idea of Walker. Any word on the latest rumoured fee?
