It's Quiet - a new dawn

Are those talking about Neymar actually being serious or is it like when a thread turns into pages and pages of puns?

Neymar. I'd take Mbappé in a heartbeat though.
I'm not sure those are the choices thogh, if we were in for Neymar, which I have my doubts we are, I'd guess that would be instead of going for Sanchez, and keep Aguero, where , Mbappe I would guess would be as well as Sanchez and a replacement for Aguero.

I'm going to say no, if only because I think there's zero chance we'd actually get Neymar, but you'd have to imagine that in many respects he would pay for himself (sponsorships, shirt sales etc)

Like all potential world record transfers, such as Mbappe, either we have some secret money source (Sheikh or Messi fund etc) or the more likely scenario - Kun's off. You have to wonder though, if we are in on Sanchez, are we honestly going to be looking at Neymar too?

I am not wholly convinced we will get Sanchez.

Bayern look like they are clearly in for him and I just honestly cannot see Wenger and the Arsenal board risking a huge fan revolt in selling their best player to us.

It would be a huge slap in the face, almost as if Arsenal are openly stating they didn't care about the fans.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but spend may be linked in some way to a new kit deal.
There are rumors about Under Armour being in the pot, and thus the price for whoever wants the kit deal will go up significantly ( and may even allow us to buy out however long we have left with Nike if its UA)
So you are negotiating with UA/Nike and they offer a deal, and you slip them a list of star names names, and ask what the deal is if city sign one of these players?

In short a new kit deal could fund a megastar, say the deal goes upto £50m pa ( not ridiculous if you have Neymar or Messi), you can fund the buyout clause for Neymar or pretty much any megastar over a 5 year contract and it would have no impact on any other purchases.

Just a thought and yes its left field and a bit mad, but stranger things have happened, (you only have to look at how much Pogba cost!!!!!!)

But they couldn't give a shit about the fans

Wenger also needs money if as he states he stays

The board can't be that obvious even if they don't care.

I think Bayern will end up flogging Costa and replacing him with Sanchez.

Arsenal are absolutely wadded regardless, surely?
