You are as optimistic as the Paranoid Android who shares your name!

IMO Walker might be the first domino that eventually sees Spurs fall back down to earth, not that I particularly dislike them or want it to happen.

They have potentially sleepwalked into a crisis with their wage bill, paying their players less than 50% what their competitors do, and asking for loyalty that's not actually been repaid with trophies yet.

If they want to keep this team together they're going to need to find another ~£40m/year for wages, and when building an £800m (and increasing) stadium, that's going to be near impossible.

Danny Rose said they needed a marquee signing, but there's been no sign of one. The players will be looking at clubs like us, and Chelsea, and think, "If I go there, I'll probably have a better chance at a trophy, but if not at least I'll definitely get paid properly."

Haha. Cracking post. I think there's a bit of a false narrative around Spurs. They're a selling club. Whenever a player there says he wants to leave, they sell. Simple. If Alderweireld turned around this summer and told Levy he wanted to move to City, or if Alli said that, Levy would sell the player.

It says:

“Alexis is done. Finished. Complete. Cerrado. City team finishing PR work over next 5 days. Will be announced by next Friday. I’m never wrong.”

For those who have Twitter blocked in work, what does the tweet say..

Are we planning for the worst?

The CAS will convene on Monday to hear Velez Sarsfield's case against Manchester City regarding the signing of Benjamin Garré. [Telegraph]

If Velez win their case, City could be banned from registering players for two transfer windows. [Telegraph]
