It's Quiet - a new dawn

Not saying it will happen but Arsenal not getting CL does make that deal more plausible given the hit to revenue and the fact that Sanchez is in his prime and wants to showcase his quality in the top competition.

Arsenal are financially in a strong position so can most certainly take the hit of not bein in the CL.

Sanchez at 28 will surely be looking at his options as his time is now if he wants to win the Champions League.

Get the impression we're not going to fuck about this season, just get our targets in early, interested to what all the talk of breaking the transfer record was all about it don't think we're looking at anyone that would command that sort of money.

If Ederson, Silva, Mendy, Walker and Sanchez, are all the cards, plus one of Bonnucci, Virgil VD or Laporte, and Fabinho having been strongly linked for months, how does that leave us on the quota front, assuming Nolito and Fernando will be joining Sagna, Zaba, Navas and Big Willy (Clichy counting as home grown?) through the exit door. We had to leave 1 x overseas player out of the Chimps League squad last year (Ya Ya pre Christmas and Vinny after it). Will it be the same again?

Ederson, Silva, Mendy, Walker, Sanchez, Fabinho and Bonnucci by the way, would be probably the most mind blowing set of signings I've seen in one window in the history of football if it comes off.
  1. Bravo

Reckon that when the CB comes in one of Kolarov or Otamendi will get sold. That leaves room for one more foreign player. It won't be Fabinho, but it could be a DM if not then you'd think it's another full back.

If we get all those players then it's up there with Madrid's summer 2010 spend when they bought Ronaldo, Kaka, Alonso, Benzema, etc.

Nope, Dinho was on one of his red card holidays and Yaya was still on the fatty step.
Did a research - not for the sake of argument, just out of curiosity.
Dinho received a red vs Chelsea (03.12.2016) already being disqualified from CL. He was replaced by Fernando who played the DM role both in PL and CL.
As for Yaya, he returned 19.11.2016 vs Palace, Gundogan torn his ACL 14.12.2016 vs Watford.
I can't find any Gundo's game for City as DM.
