It's Quiet - a new dawn

He was either heading to the station or one of the numerous hotels around the area?

I believe we've had players in the Malmaison in the past?

Ive just walked past Txiki - about 8.25 near piccadilly. This isn't a wind up, dunno what he's doing or where he's going. he was on the phone, black leather briefcase in hand. Heading towards piccadilly station way. I saw him near the Spar.

Something's going down
I guess he's got his reasons,
but I just don't wanna know....

Some didn't want Hart replaced and they didn't want his replacement to surpass him so they booed and jeered him until he lost all confidence and then they looked right. Then they cheered him being replaced with a different goalkeeper they had previously slated. They ignore all evidence that Bravo to replace Hart was on paper an improvement (and they had similar seasons last year).

Luckily Ederson can have a similar season and be brushed off as a learning curve, adaptation period, no protection because he's young and he's replacing a keeper we want rid of.

Perfect post, exactly how I see it.

Good post. I can not understand the vitriol spued out by many, so called blues, against a fellow blue. This came from young and older fans many hoping that their actions would make Pep think again. I have my own views about Hart and made them in the past on this forum (resulted an a number of put downs from other readers) but the past twelve months verbal assaults on Bravo has highlighted the maxim that if you tell lies long enough they become the perceived truth. I hope over time he can prove the doubters wrong. At City, it has happened many times before..

I was a massive Hart supporter and was gutted when he left, but never have I or would I boo or jeer anyone one of our players.
Can't believe you're saying Bravo's inability to save a shot was down to our fans making him nervous and unwelcome because of our love of Jo. He was shit, may of been brilliant before but was shit for us, end of.

The funny thing is we had exactly the same situation back in the day.

Remember Tony Coton replacing the popular but incredibly overrated Andy Dibble. Coton was slaughtered at first, but was one of the best keepers we have ever had.

And the lack of transfer opportunities for Joe Hart says everything about his current standing in the game. his career is in freefall.

Spar have got some Tempranillo down to £5.25!!
Or, he could have been getting the tram to work...

I'm not saying it was exclusively down to the fans, obviously Bravo got off to a rocky start - frequently down to miscommunication with Stones.

But we as fans can choose to support or mock and many mocked and berated him.

Not saying that applies to all big fans of Joe either, some were still very supportive of Bravo.

We are very guilty of not giving players time to settle. This goes back decades. Someone is already having a pop at Mendy in his thread, believe it or not.

bravo had a bad season imho however i dont think it was helped by the players not understanding peps instructions. when he first came it was like they had to pass it back to him at almost every opportunity instead of if needed. this allowed team to press higher up (spurs was a prine example) and close evryone down. this in turn made him make a few mistakes earlier on in his city career and probably knocked his confidence. which led to a dramatic decline in such a short space of time. who knows after a giod tournament he may have regained his confidence and become the the keeper he was. remember form is temporary. class is permanent (which sadly is the reason i dont play football anymore. cos im shit)

I didn't want Hart to be replaced, I saw other positions such as full back as more of a problem than the keeper situation. However once Hart was gone and Bravo was in between the sticks, I wanted nothing but success for him and the team.

The only issue I see with fans where Bravo is concerned, is the attitude of some of those who supported him who just wont let it go. Last season it was all "he will come good" and "he will prove you wrong" and because he didn't its now "Its the boo boys fault". It will soon be a new season and hopefully he will turn things round if he is still at the club but lets not re-write the past 12 months, he was an unmitigated disaster and it wasn't the fault of the fans.
