It's Quiet - a new dawn

Jesus has played a whole 3 games, pep left the 3 together as he said they did well that week,it's very presumptious to say he will be first choice over sergio, whoever is in form will play so they will both get a lot of game time, this pep thinks this and that is nonsense on the showing of 1 week of a barely 20 yr old kid

Let's say jesus plays well for 10 games, do you think aguero will be happy sat on the bench?

It seems some are finding it hard to accept that the team can function well and move on without aguero in the side as tough as that may sound. There's been 10 games played this season where Aguero hasn't been involved. In those games the team won 8 lost 1 and drew 1. The loss was the 4-2 against Leicester and some of the wins included were against Arsenal and United with the team scoring 22 goals overall in those 10 games.

Now before anyone thinks I'm against him, I'll add that I think he's been only behind silva and sterling as the most consistent players this season and his goals have helped and won the team countless games. But the simple fact of the matter is that once Jesus was bought, he went straight into the starting 11 over him and that was at a time when aguero was on 19 goals for the season. If a then 19 year old, new to the league and Country going straight into the team over its top scorer was not an indication of where Pep's mind was in regards to sergio then I don't know what is. It's clear that despite his goals and the fact that he looked like the teams only source for goals at times, pep still wanted and expected more from him and that's what it comes down to at the end of the day in regards to what the manager finds best suited for his team and system.

As someone noted earlier, this is a manager who sold prime eto and Ibrahimovic because they didn't give what he wanted or fit his system so it won't be a surprise to see the same happen with Aguero. Personally, I feel Pep still hasn't been sold with the teamwork and link-play aspect of his game which he tends to value a lot from his strikers and that may be the reason he would be willing to replace him with someone like sanchez whom though may not be as deadly a finisher, is imo superior in other areas as it pertains to the function of the team play and be a better fit for it. At the end of the day, its what benefits the manager and the team the most going forward that matters.

When Kun is injured or suspended we have never had a problem scoring goals, because we play a different way, nobody knows what the team will be next season, but these stats shout one man team,
I feel with Kun we seem to have to use him, if he goes it will be Jesus as much as the Sanchez purchase, that is behind it, I know I don't fancy Sanchez at Chelsea.

You've missed the point, again.

Jesus's three game run ended because of injury, without that it would have continued. Two games with Aguero on the bench was enough for him to do an interview with the media expressing doubts over his future.

Do you think Kun is going to stick around at a club where he knows he can be replaced for a lengthy spell by a younger player? He doesn't need to. He can go to a big club and be an automatic inclusion on the team sheet even if his uncharacteristically poor conversion rate of 11% this year continues.

I don't think anyone wants Sergio to go, but maybe Sergio does. If we are in on Sanchez, that could be the straw that broke the camel's back.

Sanchez has that eye of the tiger, something we haven't had since Tevez.

If you think about Barcelona, the opposition create their own mistakes, trying to legislate for the quality across all the front positions.

Personally, for Sterling, KDB and Sane to now go to the next level with Pep, they need Kun out of the way and to learn from Sanchez and Jesus.

Both who are experts at closing the space between the lines.

Our press from the front is still absolutely pathetic, barring a couple of token gestures.
enjoying reading this post - speaks much sense, even if outside the conventional norm. Could say the same for most - even all - of your last few posts. Cheers, beyond the 'itk' of transfers (which may or may not come off), it feels like you are giving a true idea of what the club is aiming for. Much appreciated

The most important signing we make this summer will be to play in Yaya's position. So far we've only been linked with William Carvalho when we need the next Busquets or Xabi Alonso.

Agree with this and I think Pep will.

Perfecting the build-up will be what Pep focuses the most on attacking wise this summer.

2 good footballing fullbacks, a central defender to partner Stones and goalkeeper will play part in this too.

The struggles in both boxes issue Pep goes on about will be resolved with a better quality of player.

Marcos Llorente. Plays for Alaves. On loan from Madrid. Was sad to find out about his Madrid roots.

Its like watching a rare blend btw Alonso and Busquet.

Ederson
Theo Hernandez
Kolasinac(free)
Laporte
FABINHO
Benjamin Heinrichs
Sanchez
Isco

I think all of them will cost something between 200-230 m. If I have to give up on one of them I will choose Isco. The others solve our problems at the back for a decade(incladuing GK) and Sanchez is a world class. Just imagine him with Aguero, Jesus, Sane and Sterling

Zidane stopped him training with the senior team when he became manager. But, he's probably developed quite a bit and might even move Casemiro out of the team
