It would be hilarious (and groundbreaking) if we didn't announce them per say, but rather snuck them into the stadiums for the various friendlies and had them warmup privately, before having them come out to start in the match.

Someone on twitter made a good point that if Alves and Mendy are "done" (we have agreements with both player and club) it wouldn't make a lot of sense for them to come to Manchester during their holiday just to wrap up the transfer and then continue their holidays. Because our preseason starts Monday, it's completely reasonable for the players to want to do their medicals/interviews etc.. & permanently move (to a hotel lol) this weekend, right before they have to report for training. If they aren't announced by Monday then I'll worry.
