Sky say Everton want £90m. £75m plus add-ons. he can't have a medical until Utd agree. £90m would be funny.
So, really, the rags have agreed personal terms with the player, but not yet with the selling club. Yet this has been broadcasted on all channels as a done deal, and (see above) the journos already started mocking the other clubs for looking weak in light of this transfer. Compare that with the coverage of City's transfer dealings. I think we are at exactly the same stage with a number of players, including Sanchez. At most we see that our targets will stay at their clubs, or go somewhere else. It is a fantastic media campaign.

Does look that way. Some reports suggest medical is done, but BBC's Simon Stone says not

If course he's sensible, he knows a good court order when he sees one, PRICE isn't an issue.

The media attention these rags get is way over the top a possible world record fee for a player Boreinho didn't think was good enough at Chelsea is absolutely laughable.

I hope they pay it because they need much much more than a Lukaku who'll only just about replace big nose.

We could potentially get Alexis Sanchez and Bernardo Silva for the same price lmfao.
Arguably the two most expensive players on the planet were released by one ex-scum manager and the other by the current scum manager for peanuts.

Of course that's excellent business sense embarrassing all others according to the Beeb

Laughable mate would like to see the press if was us doing that shit haha.

None of the reliable reports have said the medical is done, all of them say it is booked for the weekend in LA and that the fee with Everton is basically agreed with few issues left to solve. And Paul Joyce from the Times is quite good with Everton info, so that 75m + 15m in bonuses + the 10m valuation of Rooney (bit much :) makes it that magical '100m deal'.

Bottom line the scum got to replace the goals big Conk scored last season and with them scoring a low amount anyway they have to blow 100m on Lukaku or they will finish midtable.

You'd have thought it would be more embarrassing to buy the most expensive team ever assembled and finish 6th.

If it were us doing this there would be a four part BBC investigative series on the "deficiencies of the Manchester City academy, board room, and decision making flow" leading to "egregious errors in developing, retaining, and selling players" whose initial quality "was not properly assessed or nurtured" resulting in "massive losses and embrassment for the club" and "significant advantages being presenting to their much more illustrious and successful cross city rivals"—it would be entitled "In The Shadow Of Greatness: How City Fell"

I am not even kidding.

I'd love to agree, but they've been posting tweets like these all week!
I was including those, as well.

The missus works for a design firm that also provides PR and social media strategy services and she thinks the social media team are on orders.

I think the BBC are missing the point a tad - had any other club been mental enough to offer £75m+ for Lufuckingkaku then I imagine they'd also be stealing a march on their rivals. That march just happens to be 'daftest club in the league' though.
