It's Quiet - a new dawn

Lets hope Sanchez is all agreed or we have a plan B. Only City could have a manager spending months bemoaning our lack of goals and then go into the next season with less firepower than the previous.

I'm hoping the lack of noise about a Plan B all summer has been because Plan A has been nailed on for quite some time....

Or it allows them to not buy a further replacement, as they can claim it is too late. I think Lacazette is the replacement.

They may claim that to save money, but i think a left sided player is going... (Sanchez did play from there a few times)

They've been linked to Mahrez and Lemar all summer, but don't wanna pay silly money.

Also they have spent nothing this summer... Net spend of zero... I think there's another one or two in by deadline for them.

If arsenal agree to Sanchez joining us, and it's a big if in my opinion, who are they going to replace him with?

Swansea's deal for Bony maybe fills a few more of the potential unknowns, especially as Clement has been told it will be on the last day - he needs another striker himself and wouldn't want to be sat around with his thumb up his arse.

I have heard from quite a few people at a deal of some sorts being in place with Arsenal for Sanchez.

We have sold Iheanacho also remember, so agreeing a deal/falling back on Bony just doesn't make any sense whatsoever at this stage.

Wenger wouldn't want to telegraph having £70m in his pocket from City for any of his own targets. There is a narrative where we are seen to rock up at the last minute and Wenger shows he has resisted our financial doping for the entire window but the money on the final day was just too good to turn down.

It wouldn't be £70m the Arsenal board would be turning down either. Sanchez is due £7.2m in wages over the final 12 months of his deal.

If Sanchez is the prize, City would be happy to go along with it.

I'd not be surprised either. I have to admit that Pep's stubbornness has surprised and disappointed me last season. On one hand I'll moan about it but on the other I hope that his decisions are shaping the long-term rather than just one game.

Now that the season has started I don't feel as confident about us as I did in the summer but it's early days and at the very least it's very interesting.

Nah, think Mendy will start. Danilo on the right.

There are a few plates spinning but we have agreed Bony can go to Swansea but it will be late in the day, make of this what you will.

It does lend itself to a few things concerning Sanchez, but I can't believe it's him or Bony now for Pep, and so there could well be something all sorted with Arsenal or we are playing the biggest game of bluff ever.

Re Txiki's comments on Mbappe - I am told his comments about there not being enough time is more in relation to the amount of extra money we had expected to have brought in by now.

Soriano was overheard by the City pack in LA talking on his mobile phone about our interest in Mbappe, hence reports.

Isn't it sad that this Tommie guy has the habit of cheering me up for the weekend? Just need first beer and wife back from work, and am all set!
I know, needy

Still people think if he (Sanchez) plays on Sunday he's staying! Why? He plays for Arsenal for god sake, why wouldn't he play if he's fit? Hardly shocking is it. It'll get done and was more than likely agreed a while back. Evans too, ideal another CB. Can't be bad happy days
