@twosips made a good point on his recent video that I hadn’t really thought about, around europe but especially in Germany there is a narrative about City being JCLs with new money and not a proper club compared to liverpool, madrid,barcelona and myths about anfield etc. Unfair obviously but some players, will buy into that, Bellingham probably did and looks like Wirtz does, and in particular some of those playing in Germany. Think theres a lot to it, Haaland being a City fan was obviously a different matter.
It is what it is not much we can do, maybe once the charges go away and the air clears a bit it ill start to change.

We could do with using some of our cash to pay someone to give us more positive marketing. Fight back against the tide of bullshit from the rag/scouse media, promote City abroad to prospective young players and our image in general.

All sorts of big companies promote their image and cover up/spin anything shit. We need to get far, far better at this. Find the best marketing/PR agency in the world and pay them to change the narrative about us. It won’t happen overnight of course but we should be perceived a whole lot better than we are currently given how much we’ve won. I feel this side of the club is neglected.

Well yes, Reis and Echeverri could well go loan, in which case it becomes one in one out starting with KDB. Until Walker, Phillips and 2 others actually leave one way or another though it isn’t. My guess is Echeverri and Reis both stay and we would prefer 2 players like Gundogan, Kovacic, maybe Nunes or Bernardo to leave and make the spaces, but that’s probably harder to do.

On what principal would Phillips and walker have to leave for livramento and mgw to sign? Wage structure? I definitely think 1 of those older heads have to leave and it really should be gundo. I'd keep nunes as squad player but if we need the foreign spot then try offload him.

I think we will get a better idea about our preparations next week. Also since we need a bloody revamp and Club world cup next month - the txiki idea of waiting till Aug won't work this time. Pep needs to get an idea about our perfect 11 before next season

Our most targets are simple:
Rij from Milan. Milan are shit and he wants us. Get him by next week and integrate in the squad.
MGW - Forest have PSR problems and some of our players. Can be done in the next 10 days.
Wesley - Just pay the Brazilian club
Costa - read from a lot of news that he is also ready to leave porto
Cambiasso - Again the work is already done in Jan and i think they already have a replacement ready. Pay and get him ready

Only targets that may create issue is Livermento and Rodrygo. Because newcastle and Madrid both dont need to sell and will be difficult to deal with.

If we are serious and have money to spend - Rij MGW Costa Cambiasso will alone cost 250. Then we have the right back and winger to come. We will figure it out before CWC starts I guess.

Well ye could easily spend more but mgw, reijnders, livramento and a keeper will cost close to 250. We will most likely sign another random prospect and if sales come through and a rodrygo maybe comes about it's hitting 300 no problem

Yep. My point was I’d rather spend £300m on less players with more quality and have a smaller squad and supplement with academy players.

Well they need to leave because they are surplus to any squad registration we have no room on either list for them , not sure why you keep linking them to MGW or Livremento, I’ve never mentioned Walker or Phillips regarding the homegrown list as they aren’t on it , they aren’t currently on any list.
If we sign MGW and Livremento or any other home grown full back most likely they take Grealish and Stones places.

To be honest I don’t really have an issue with that, wanting a change okay, running down a contract with no intention of staying not so much, other players,seems Reijnders is one have signed a contract with a release clause so their club gets something .
Or if it was us and say Foden I wouldn’t be too happy ,it’s liverpool so not bothered.

No we can’t,only if we sell some off the homegrown first. Walker and Phillips aren’t in the homegrown list, so those 2 need to move before we start buying for the 17 man free list.

They aren’t irrelevant, from next week they will be registered they have to be moved on or loaned, no different to probably 4 or 5 other players if we’re going to bring in the new players we apparently want. 2 full backs 2 midfielders to do that 8 players need to leave including Walker including Phillips including KDB, some will be sold some loaned but they all need to leave to get down to a squad of 21 (17 + 4)plus any club trained or U21.It’s simple maths.
