Lewis is 20 years old, Frimpong is 24. I'd say he's got time on his side.

I suspect that's not the final squad, not even close.

Viana was brought in to have a fresh perspective and to make hard decisions that Pep couldn't because he was too close to the players that won so much for him.

There will be cuts made and new additions.

He can only do so much, we need clubs willing to take on wages and give us fees. We are looking at clearing old and expensive players apart from McAtee. We haven't done ourselves any favours freezing out the likes of Grealish imo.

No it's easier than you think.

1. Tell players they will not be registered as they're not in our plans. (how Chelsea does it)

2. We've made a lot of net spend over the past 3 years.. we shouldn't be afraid to use it on cutting away the dead weight!

3. So loan whoever that can be loaned somewhere.. or terminate the contract.
 
UCL rules are a sticking point right now we need to offload players. Since we won't be able to register more than 17 NHG. Players will be left at home with how many we have right now.

UCL rules, players under the age of 21 can only be registered if they've spent a minimum of two years at the club I think.

We need to be ruthless and clear up the non homegrown. Otherwise a couple of players will be left at home

Grealish leaving , Reis ,Echeverri and one between Khusanov and Nico on loan

Akanji , Kovacic, and Gundogan staying at all costs. 3 od untouchables

Plus, once again, people forget it’s World Cup year, players need to play.

World Cup year pal, people like Grealish etc need games if they want to go.
 
Maybe the rest of the window we bring homegrown players in.

Let Gundo go , go back in for Gibbs White
Let Ortega go 12 months left on his deal, try for Trafford before he goes Newcastle.
Bring in Livramento , let one of the young centre backs go out on loan.

That's 3 non homegrown gone then this window.

Next summer let Bernardo go at the end of his contract , maybe sell kova since he will have 12 months left.

Completely agree, but I feel our treble success was the beginning of our demise and it can't be helped. As Txiki said after the treble success they wanted to push on and add to what we already had, but couldn't due to players either wanting to leave the club for more playing time or using the treble success as a play to get bigger contract deals at the club. Consequently, that had eaten a chunk into our transfer budget and possibly derailed our plans that summer.

Football is cyclical, we can't win titles forever and maybe it's time for somebody else to have a period of dominance. Might be another 5 years before we win another title, but it just shows how special we were over that period. Can't see another club doing what we did and winning 4 titles in a row as long as I'm alive. When you hear some of the stuff on here you do feel that our fans are a little spoilt. Looking back, others would kill to have what we have had, even United.

We don’t have room in the homegrown list either currently
 
This is going to be the deal of the century. I just hope I’m still alive to see it. Grealish is expensive and pretty much useless as a player. How are we going to find some mug to buy him? I don’t know, I can’t see a solution that won’t cost us. The only option might be to ‘sell’ him to ourselves – like Girona

He isn’t useless though , just not right for us anymore. Loads of clubs would be good for him. His wages are the issue

Pep’s never going to sell Akanji. It’s way more likely that both Reïs and Khusanov go out on loan than Akanji leaving. So once again, we’re heading into the season with our full-on retirement home at the back( Akanji, Ake,Stones)

Same goes for Gündogan. Echeverri’s off on loan, and with Nico, who knows. But one thing’s for sure — neither of them will ever be picked ahead of Gündogan, even though he’ll be 36 by the end of the season
