EXCLUSIVE | İlkay Gündoğan has received assurance from Manchester City that there will be no issues regarding the transfer fee. The player’s side is ready to sign with Galatasaray, with the final decision resting with Coach Okan.

Genuine question and harm meant do you actually know this, just asking bud
Premier league rules state anybody under 22 isnt required to be registered to play in the competition, CL rules state anybody under the age of 22 that has been at the club for a minimum of 2 uninterrupted years is eligible for the B list and doesnt need to be registered on the A list.

Rico has been here since he was 8 and is only 20. He wont need to be given a spot in either squad this year.

So he played the CWC so we could show Galatasary he’s still got it?

If, as we suspect, he goes and signs for Galatasaray, it’ll make the playing of him in the CWC even more bizarre.

BILD running with this another journalist as well said about it yesterday. Would be bizarre

Rico replaced Walker for long periods the last time we won the league and Walker at the time was recognised as England's first choice right back. As I have said before I fully expect him to improve loads. As others have said others should leave before him.
When Lewis got into the team playing alongside Rodri as a right back he was getting rave reports and looked excellent. Last season playing alongside whoever happened to be playing as a 6 he looked a bit lost .Granted he needs to learn to be able to do it on his own but at 20 he has time and if he plays back at right back with Rodri and Reijnders next to him we should see his real potential.
All that said my preference is to see him doing that as a rotation option to Livramento.

That's fair. So many players looked lost last season.
Lewis competing with another full-back is definitely likely. I would prefer it to be Nunes than Livramento, but it sounds like we are seeking English-born players.

He's got a lot of potential. Just takes way, way too long in possession and that's pretty odd for someone who came through Barca's academy.
I’m just talking snap judgement, looked ok but nothing special. Maybe if there’s some interest in him we are prepared to sacrifice so we can try and bring in Gibbs White?
