Just thinking the same. Now I've got The Commodores song in my head....Haha. So good they named him twice!
It would mean getting rid three times!!

Makes sense, perhaps the intensity of Pep has taken it's toll on some and the messages are becoming stale, hopefully the new squad will be inspired and hopefully the new squad will inspire PepAs stated, no power struggle. He just doesn't want the emotion of it all. It's the only reason he is staying, because he has been given the chance to do it all over again.
Very few clubs can offer such.
id reverse that. Omar off the left, Rodrygo in the #10Jack? Marmoush goes in behind Haaland?

A small squad used to mean 22/23 players for Pep. I don’t think that’s the case anymore with everyone having the same opinion about how many games/how often.I said in another thread that if Pep was insistent in a small squad, that his directors would need to be very clear that he would need to then choose the players that could be relied upon. If he wants a small squad, there will have to be departures.
He's in the squad for Real Betis in the Europa Conference League final this coming Wednesday but who knows after that.....In Saudi with Di Rossi

its he fav. position, but think he's much better technically to be given that smaller space.Rodrygo is rumoured to be wanting to play central as well?
He’s so desperate to leave Madrid him and his team are trying to up sell him to anyone. Including us which is where this has all come froMRodrygo is rumoured to be wanting to play central as well?
Not that I have heard on Akanji. I do know we want to bring Bah in.
Bah seems to have played brilliantly both for Valladolid and Lens this season. Sounds like we found a real bargain at £5m. If Akanji stays it means that Khusanov, Reis and Bah would be 4th, 5th and 6th choice CBs. For their development, I think Akanji should find himself a new club. It would be an awful mistake to potentially lose Khusanov, for only to fit in Akanji who`s shown he`s not good enough time and again. Khusanov looks like he could be one of our best CBs ever IMO, and I hope Pep puts him back in the squad quicklyNot that I have heard on Akanji. I do know we want to bring Bah in.
Glad to hear that about Bah he’s clearly really talented.Bah looks a talent. Comparisons with Saliba in French media/news
I prefer this to someone keeping players around due to sentiment. This is what I said when Viana came in he gutted Sporting. He has no relationship with these players they are just assets some with big wages and some with bad injury issues.
He will gut this squad if he can.
Walker was in his prime good against fast pacy players like mbappe, rashford, vini jr. those players even say he was the best defender but he used to be found out against Mane who used to nutmeg him with other tricks. In italy there are more players like mane than being fast pacey like mbappe or vini jr.I guess Italian football although incredibly defensively structured is still a slower pace and Walker might not look out of place there.
I have not watched one bit of him playing for Milan. I have seen him getting abuse on twitter by AC fans for poor performances after some game but football fans, especially on twitter, are just knobs so doesn’t mean anything!
You need to read between the lines Trev mate. This is clearly Pep keeping his PR clean rather than any power struggle. There is a power struggle going on here, clear as day. Pep is resisting the rebuild, he is too attached to the players after spending so long together. We already know it to be fact that the club wanted to rebuild last summer and Pep said no, putting us in this mess. There are quotes from Pep hinting that there won’t be too many new signings. Then there’s club briefs to the contrary. They are each putting pressure on the other to get what they want. There isn’t an alignment between the two and it’s holding us back.
