It's Quiet the £250m return

Yeah right I don't want Italy No1 / top 3 keepers in world to be a no1. Prefer a kid from Burnley to be playing Real Madrid away. Wtf is a matter with people???!!!
What an odd comment. Joe hart one of the best keepers we’ve ever had was playing in the championship on loan before becoming our number 1. Ederson was playing in Brazil. What’s playing for Burnley got to do with anything if you’re good enough.

Can't be arsed explaining if you cant see that

Ok almost as lazy as your post. we’ll judge players based on previous clubs, not talent.

His club before that was Manchester City…
I think he meant it from an experience point of view that a CL winning keeper is in a better position to play a game of that magnitude over Trafford, which he is right on if that is what they meant. Big fan of Trafford though and he was class yesterday.

Happy if Donnarumma signs but a bit 'meh' if he's our last signing of the window
Not so sure about that.
Donarumma
Ait-nouri
Cherki
Reijnders
Trafford
Bettinelli (back up)
Nypen (for the future)

If that’s the business complete that’s a great window. Liverpool have signed well, but other than them there isn’t a club who has done better in my view.

I've been called a happy clapper this summer but this is too optimistic even for me.

Donnarumma is a the best shot stopper in the world. But his passing won't suit us under Pep.
Ait-nouri looks like he can't defend, will help going forward.
Cherki, nice flashes but not going to start many games.
Reijnders, played well against relegation fodder and then was anonymous the last two games.
Trafford, good shot stopper but inexperienced.

We've had a bizarre, middling window. Brought in outfield players no top team wanted and haven't adressed the glaring weaknesses in the side.

liverpool has unfortunately had a great window.

We're in a transition, but to what who knows. It will take a couple more summer windows and for them to be getting the absolute best for us to be favourites for the league again.

The Donarumma sighing is an odd one because he’s not especially good with his feet but it appears that he is the best available at the moment.

It looks to me that when we signed Trafford the plan was to keep Ederson and let him see out his final year while working with Trafford. Obviously something has changed and we’ve had to work to get a keeper in.

It's not a Rodwell, Sinclair, Maicon, Nastasic, Garcia window, but I wouldn't say it's a great window. It's a start, and it sorts out the goalkeeper position for years. Would have loved an RB and a CM like MGW though. For all of the furore about us being linked with MGW, he'd have gone a long way to preventing what happened to us after Brighton made four changes yesterday.

The thing that gets me is we still seem to do our transfers like a top six team and not a champions of Europe team, if you want to stay at the top table you need to pay top table prices, can't see any of the other European powerhouses with our shopping list,, yet we are spending the same amount for more squad players

There isn’t one club who has won four in a row, within which was the treble. Only one other club has won the treble.

This transition could take a couple of windows, but if that is at the cost of what we’ve achieved then I’d say that’s fair dinkum. Football is cyclical but one thing is for certain, we won’t go into obscurity as if this was all just a phase in our history. We will win cups, leagues and attract players. We won’t do an Arsenal or the rags, but the transition will take time.

What it doesn’t need is fans turning on the club just because we aren’t doing the impossible and maintaining that success. There will be a change in manager soon.

Bookmark this-Liverpool will not do 4 in a row and we will make sure that is the case

What has the treble and four in a row got to do with us buying mediocre players this summer?

No one is turning on the club by pointing this out.

Yeah it's impossible to win every single year but we're now looking like a team that won't even compete.

Disagree unfortunately mate. I posted weeks ago (sorry i cant find the posts as i have fallen off the wagon again) that i know someone in the admin department through business at the dippers and they were shocked at the state we were in and were going to go full steam and create english football history? Now we have done that but this summer proves at going to be nearly £500m spend while we have crashed AGAIN is true.
