It's Quiet the £250m return

He reminds me a lot of Nasri, all the talent in the world but lazy.

Still, I've said before he would be a decent target at his price and you can never have enough inventiveness.

If Pep got inside his head, you are talking worldy levels.

I'd still expect us to move on MGW.
That is a tiresome trope, one too often used in conjunction with certain players: Cherki, Nasri, Mahrez. No players rise that far in the game being lazy.

Think the translation on the tweet has it the wrong way around tbh

Maybe, I'd see it as Costa number 1 and Garcia incase that fails BUT I was told a few weeks ago that we'd gone quiet on the Costa deal, not as it was done but City had 'a new market opportunity' so maybe Garcia is the one.

Seen reports that Costa was on about staying or was that bs, sure I read it on here the other day.

Still think it’ll just be something along the lines of Costa, New FB, Gibbs-White and Reijnders coming in and Ederson, Walker, Grealish, Phillips and McAtee leaving.

Then some loans for the likes of Reis, Khushanov, Bah, Echeverri and Bobb.

It’s one thing telling the likes of Ake, Stones, Gundogan and Bernardo that they can bring us offers as they won’t feature much, and them actually doing it.

In Spain a Journo linked with Barca is saying that Joan Garcia (GK) is City's 1st choice and Costa is the backup option, Garcia has an agreement with City and Newcastle but its up to the GK where he wants to go as he has a release clause of 25m - Barca were interested and made a proposal but out of loyalty to Espanyol he is right now declining their interest.

For £45m we would get Garcia and Cherki.

That would be real water into wine stuff!

Although they may not be lazy I certainly think some players work harder off the ball than others. PSG have improved their European performances this season with players working a bit harder off the ball than previously.

Going nowhere.
We really need a top wide player. I think Doku will get another season but if a good offer came in we should sell, I don’t see the improvement in him and certain he will be gone in the next year. The number of times he wasted the ball v Fulham, Pep was going nuts. Not a Viana signing & the least Pep forward player we’ve signed in the last 7/8 years. He just doesn’t look when he’s passing/crossing it, zero finesse & looks awkward kicking the ball. You can’t coach that. He looks a bit vacant too, rarely celebrates the team goals like other players which Pep doesn’t like. I have higher hopes for Savio once he toughens up a bit, I think he will add some goals. Bobb shows more promise than both.

I thought the same but then no one else is going in for Costa whereas plenty of competitors for Garcia…
It was weird translation. 'Garcia decision is in our hands but we've kept an option open on a back up incase it falls through'.

So from the looks of it -
Costa Rudolph looks like straight forward deal
MGW may take some time
Nouri from Wolves maybe straight forward too. We have a decent relationship with them
Livremento may take the entire summer as newcastle will be resistant
Cherki looks straight forward if city want

Would love to know what’s everyone’s obsession with Livramento. I find him to be so average.
80 mil for that ? Is it because he’s English. I know we need an English player but surely quality is important too ?

Not so much telling players they must leave but they should...

The club has meetings today and tomorrow with the playing staff.

The World Cup is our big piece of leverage. This is why Pep said it could be difficult because we have players under contract, which ultimately offers all the protection to the player.

Stones
Eddie
Ortega
Gundo
Ake
Bernardo
Gundo
Grealish
McAtee
Walker
Phillips
Nunes.

All can find new clubs if they are open to offers.

There will be number of pay-offs and fee cutting.

I think we need to be prepared for more than people think, although I can't call if those with 12 months left, like Bernie, Stones, Jack, Gundo, Ortega and Eddie will just sit tight.

They won't play and that's where they have a decision to make.

It's another reason why Soriano and Txiki delivered the bad news to KDB. Pep just doesn't have the heart to tell people they aren't wanted anymore after he did it with Sergio.
Have you seen the 4 part programme that is about Sergio and his career

It touches on that there and both parties were very good about it in the end

All about opinions. I think Doku has been one of our few highlights this season and was crucial in the last few months.

He needs more than Haaland hanging out of the six yard box for a pull back.

City need midfielders arriving into the box and we are going to get them.

I initially really liked Savinho, his ball manipulation is fantastic, but his work ethic in games when covering his full-back has been an utter disgrace.

His performance away at Spurs and also at Wembley had team-mates screaming at him.

I expect Doku and Savinho to come very good.
