There has to be more than one more not sure you are understanding the squad rules.Only one more along with Grealish, Walker, McAtee and Phillips.

I can see the thinking both long term projects who had offers at the door so they pulled the trigger knowing we needed bodies asap. Gotta deal with the shuffle now, if we'd have signed both this window and left them on loan a year Im sure it would have been looked at vastly different.Yeah…the decision to buy two CB’s in January looks another strange decision from City. Loaning out a player that costs £35m 6 months after arriving is poor.
If that is the case then Akanji. But again depth is key. We can't afford another repeat of last season where we are scrambling for cover. Can't keep going into the transfer market just for that purpose. There has to be more than one more not sure you are understanding the squad rules.

It what it is.
In short: loan them out or sell 2 CB‘s otherwise you are wasting their potential. Considering Pep‘s words I can still see stones and akanji going.we probably never go in for Khusanov and Reis tho if we dont have all CBs apart from Gvardiol all injured at same time and also for quite long injuries not just a week or two for 2/4 months ones.
so it was bit of a panic purchases, investment for the future too, but unless there are 2 outgoings from Akanji, Ake, Stones hard to see how Khusanov or Reis will get decent minutes from mid August. Pep wont use them and keep his trusted players on the bench.
My best guess would beName them who will be told they can go after this CWC
Khusanov did right until Akanji got back, did what he needed to. Jokso/Dias were just far more reliable from then on.True but those bodies we needed hardly played even with the injuries.
My best guess would be
Akanji
Gundogan
Kovacic
Grealish
McAtee
Walker
Phillips

Interesting to see what they do with him this year, seems they told Lyon No when he was asked for.
are we using chelsea's rules or premier league rulesThere has to be more than one more not sure you are understanding the squad rules.
Neither in my opinion, think we will be pretty much sticking to UEFA rules, it the only way to have a squad of around 24/25, 17 NHG, 3 or 4 HG, 2 CT, 2 U21.are we using chelsea's rules or premier league rules
Apart from swapping Akanji for Nunes I can’t see any other way of meeting the squad numbers. Kovacic‘s injury won’t make any difference whether he stays or not ,injured players have move before.Stones or Ake could go but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t.Pep rates Akanji higher than most fans, plenty of evidence about that. Kovacic is injured till September. Losing both Gundo and Kova is unlikely.
Stones and Ake shouldn't have been here last season, let alone next season. The club won't be willing to keep the injury prone players, HG or not. Pep has been quite clear about that. So, I'd be surprised if both Stones and Ake were here after August.
My best guess would be
Akanji
Gundogan
Kovacic
Grealish
McAtee
Walker
Phillips

I just can’t see us keeping all these defenders.Name them who will be told they can go after this CWC
Exactly. Khusanov isn’t going anywhere. We apparently declined Lyon’s request for Khusanov during the Cherki negotiations, but it’s going to be tricky for him to get substantial minutes, which he desperately needs, if Guardiola has a fit Stones, Akanji, and Ake on whom to call.
