It's Quiet the £250m return

We need a spine of Kompany, a Fernandinho, a Silva, a Yaya, a prime Gundogan, a Tevez, and an Aguero.

We have ...
no Kompany equivalent
Rodri as a Fernandinho
Reijnders as a prime Gundogan
Cherki as a Silva i think
Marmoush possibly as a Tevez
Haaland as an Aguero if we could ever give him freedom to move

We are short a Kompany type at the back and a Yaya type to control the middle besides Rodri and a set of tactics that get the most from Haaland

Right back imo is not our priority. Pep's head is. And a couple of monster spine players.

I reckon Reinjders is somewhere in between a Yaya and a Gundogan which is a good place to be.

Dias is our Kompany, just not as good and rapidly declining (in my opinion).

Who is on the market akin to Kompany, that is also fast and can handle quick counters?

Van de Ven would be a good fit but he doesn’t possess Kompany’s leadership qualities and Spurs would want an obscene fee for him.

We never had that though,Toure, Fernandinho, Tevez, Gundogan Silva never played together.
You are right we have Rodri, Reijnders Cherki, Foden, Haaland. I think Gvardiol will kick on again this season. We do need a right back and Peps head is just fine.

The Nico news if you can call it that just sounds like his agent stirring the pot because he hasn’t played much. If there are genuine offers elsewhere maybe he’d move because he wants to play, but I can’t see that happening as we’d want all our money back.

Also we have a long summer of departures ahead of us. Gundo played a lot in the CWC and he’s gone by the looks of it. There will be a spot for him heading into the season I’m sure of it.

Have to remember our last home game was dedicated to Kev and rightly so. Imagine Pep is loyal to those still leaving and wanted to give them a send off in their own way. I think that’s definitely the case with Gundo.

The scary thing about that paragraph is that the players we are trying to shift (If we ever are) aren't on the radar as moving which means we will probably be left with them.

I'm still scratching my head over January's business where on the outside we filled gaps we needed filling but Pep looked like he didn't fancy playing them after they were brought in.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a good offer came in we would cut our ties with him. Pep seems to have a high demand from our new players. A bigger issue is that we have not got much interest for our fringe players considering we need to get rid of a lot of deadweight.

They were all signings for the next few years, Pep will play them when he's ready.
