It's Quiet the £250m return

People are looking at history when saying we have treble winners there...yes Stones and Ake are fantastic players (nad have been) -but they are rarely available ...they are absolutely uselss if we cant get them fit and keep them fit for more than a run of 2-3 games at a time....if they were available we wouldnt need anyone but the fact that they are never available and that will probably continue means we need a decent and experienced centre half

So yes we have cover - but they are pretty much redundant and never available - meaning we have to relyon two untried and untested defenders...(one who may be loaned out as well)

I think we'll have less injury issues than last year. Wouldn't be surprised if one of Stones/Ake goes but the other plays quite a bit.

Regardless of us though, seeing as you want to pick holes and act like there's no chance some very good players will be able to play, back to Liverpool.

Who is their backup left back and who is their 4th centreback? The will have issues, possibly more so than us.

We have the best striker in the world. We might get proper Phil back. We have some interesting forward players. We have bought some legs in midfield. We have a left back and left centre back for the next 5 years.

Rodri will not be back to Rodri levels for a while. Our right side of defence needs work. We have goalie issues if Ederson leaves. We could still play Gundo way more then we should. We could still play horrifically slow.

Liverpool have fucking nailed this window and they were already the best team in the league.

A balanced view. I figure this means that both doom mongers and happy clappers will come at me.

its not whining to point out facts....

we have no right back
we have one left back

we have two perma crocks who make up some of our other available defenders.....we have two largely untested young centre halves who no one can know whether they will be good enough

please show me where there is @whining" in this or are you just using a pathetic attempt to lessen a valid point because you cant take someone pointing out what is (or isnt ) there.
We’ve won the league with makeshift left backs in Delph, Zinchenko and Gvardiol as left backs and often only one right back in Walker.

What makes you think we can’t do it again the other way around? We have 1 left back and some makeshift right backs.

Does that make you a doom clapper or a happy monger?

All we need is a right back and get rid of gundo and kovacic. Might even need to throw in mgw

I am not worried about playing Khusanov and Reis. Obviously my opinion don’t count and the board doesn’t know me but if u buy two talents for 30-40M each and can’t trust them as 4th and 5th option then we are just buying for the sake of it. I an sure Khusanov and Reis would’ve played much more often if not started for Madrid if they chose then instead or Madrid actually tried.
All we need is an actual RB.
Dias-Gvardiol & Khusanov-Reis.

What’s wrong with that?

8 defenders means

Ait-Nouri
Ake/O’Reilly

Dias
Gvardiol
Khusanov
Reis

New RB
Lewis

That would mean Stones, Nunes, Akanji gone. Not that hard to imagine.

I think Reis is more likely to go out on loan.

I think Stones may end up staying. His contract is going to be hard to move, and he is a shoo-in for England at this point in a World Cup year; he has no reason to move.

I know where you’re coming from but you’re being a tad naive I think. It’s a fine line between discussion and argument sometimes, and my own view is there’s a place for both on the forum, as one person’s discussion is another’s argument.
People get passionate about things. That’s good, I think.

Sometimes if I get ‘upset’ by a post I’ll ignore it, but other times that’s the last thing I want to do. Instead I wanna respond asap.
I mean in regards to some posters saying that the negativity of other posters is getting them down, then I don't understand why it's not a block. If a certain poster is bringing you down then just ignore them. If you can respond and argue without it affecting your mood fine, but getting into a running argument across several pages and several threads isn't going to make anyone feel better.

We did that when we totally controlled the middle of the park. Our midfield is less dominant now and we are more susceptible to counter attacks without walkers pace.

But our new midfield hasn’t been tested yet. At the Cwc there were effectively 2 teams in order to give everyone a game. Our best 11 haven’t started together for a full game

All you do is constantly regurgitate the same old fucking posts time and time again. Give it a fucking rest and let people make their own minds up what we do or don`t need and if you think you`re so good, send your fucking CV into Soriano FFS as I`m certain he would be more than happy to see your credentials.

Or better still, just fuck off and give us all a rest from your Murkeyside wankfest. You’ll disappear soon enough once the season starts and your team are doing shite.

Think we can acknowledge on the face of it Liverpool have done what all good teams do and improve from a position of strength.

But let’s see, I’m still not 100% on Klopp, not all big signings work out, the new striker from Frankfurt (we probably choose Mahmoush ahead off him), full backs seem decent but let’s see.

I think about us, GK ain’t great ATM for various reasons, RB is a square peg, but Pep has made it work, CB potentially too many options and Dias needs a big season to get back on track.

Midfield we could have huge improvement here, but feel we may still play the old guard too much

Attacking jury is out on Savinho and Doku but most likely scenario is one steps up.

Foden looked back, Cherki looked special and Haaland/ Mahmoush could be quality!
