It's Quiet the £250m return

In the PL he is Under-21 so will not be any squad list but can play. In CL he has not been registered with us for long enough (2 years) so takes an A-List place - and that is where the problem lies with the number of other people who also would take an A-List place.

Yes I know this season, but I'm asking about if he stays in the PL will he qualify when he's 21 for the homegrown list as he was 18 in January.

Echeverri is a worrying situation. He wants to go Roma, Roma want an option to buy in any deal, City don't want the option to buy in any deal and pushing him towards Girona. But Echeverri wants to go Roma to play european football. The club it looks like they are stuck here, they rate him highly we know that from brief put out
As if it works like that mate come on ffs.

genuine question, who would you play him in front of week in week out
Genuine answer, I haven’t a fucking clue :). He needs to stay here though and play from the bench, start league games when necessary, play domestic cups and play some champions league games. He’s too good to go out on loan (I get why a loan would be good) but if he’s good enough to play for Argentina then he’s good enough to play for us.

Social media during the transfer window.
Do you think that the stories are true, or created to engage those who are waiting for the season to start?

Doesn't make sense, he will be a better player in 12 months playing regularly somewhere than sat on our bench and playing league cup games. Then in 12 months he and we benefit.

Also don't get why people are worried about a potential option to buy.
Presumably because it implies an option to sell on the part of the loaning club, thereby suggesting that the club will countenance it and the player may interpret the loan as such. I guess.

Echeverri stays if he wants *only* Roma and the conditions of the loan don't satisfy City. It's that simple. Nothing to worry about.

because i dont think we want to lose the player, but it wont come to that because roma dont have any leverage to dictate the terms of a deal here.

If it was an obligation to buy I'd agree. But we have seen options to buy come out to absolutely nothing so many times.

Anyway, as you both say, unlikely to matter as the club wouldn't commit to anything that doesn't suit us.
