It's Quiet the £250m return

Really happy with incomings, really unhappy with outgoings. We're gonna have too many players for pep, and the young players will be the ones to suffer for that. But our 11 will undoubtedly be better than last year, and if Pep can resist giving his uncs too many minutes we might even compete. My guess would be 2nd.

We've still got almost a month to sort any outgoings, and hopefully an incoming or two (still holding out hope for a right back).

I hope the term "uncs" disappears from the scene as quickly as it arrived......

Looking at that training session we have an abundance of technical players. Cherki, Gundo , Foden , Echeverri , Bernardo, Reijnders, Rodri , Ait Nouri. The amount of one twos and first time passing. Resembling the old tiki taka Haaland as well was getting involved.

The word uncs is really disparaging. It would be better that it's never used.

Still time but it would have been nice to have done a RB before the season started and have them intergrated.
Based on previous patterns in transfer windows, when news comes out that we are done with our transfer business its usually correct (which happened last week)
Also looking at the only news we are getting now is of transfer renewals and l potential loans for fringe players Id say that adds fuel to the idea we are done for the summer.

We are leaving it late to get anyone in and I know it can change in a matter of hrs in football but thats not the way we seem to do it anymore (in the past yes)

how should they be referred to....past it? Finished? washed? unable to perform at the level required? aged?

the terminology is pretty irrelevant when compared to what is actually being discussed...its just a quick way of grouping a certain group of players that are (insert any of the above phrases/words)

It's not surprising we're struggling to shift players, who is seriously going to take Jack off our hands on 300k a week, and the likes of Gundo, Stones etc will be very hard to move on. Really surprised Mcatee is still here though, I thought there would be several suitors

yup agree with all that

Best we can hope for with Gundo and Grealish is loans I reckon (unless Galatasaray come back for Gundo)...

No one is taking Grealish off us permanently....why would they?

Just when we thought tippy tap was dead

Think we're going to see a return to quicker and more vertical play. Even Bernardo and Gundo look leaner and sharper. You can sense the hunger even in the open training session yesterday. Can't wait for the Wolves game and to be honest, the close of the transfer window. People are flapping too much!

Might be to do with the other Pep. Dippers always looked fitter than any other team in the league when he was there. Could see in the training he was doing with us really emphasising pressing and winning the ball quickly and quick passing.

Until we see the starting lineup, I’ll sit tight.

Same here.
I think especially Bernardo and Gundo have a lot to offer in our creative department. Last games of the season I saw Gundo score an overhead kick and winning duels at left back - it's hardly 3 months ago!

Bernardo as a Captain and the top mentality of them both will be essential to lead the younger lads. Gundo surely isn't the man at DM, but he still brings the game forward exactly where it has to be.

Those 2 will defo fight in their City shirts. Wish I would see Jack on the same road!

Players. More experienced players. Legends.
It isn't irrelevant, IMO.
