Plus Bah already loaned, and he might potentially end up the best of the new defensive signingsWe have 6 CBs and just sent a 7th out on loan

Wonder how different the conversation would be if he'd contributed 9 goals by scoring 8 and assisting 1?Savio was a massive disappointment for me, flatters to deceive & can’t shoot.
Unfair. He can shootSavio was a massive disappointment for me, flatters to deceive & can’t shoot.

That was the same for Grealish, for Doku, goodness even Haaland for large chunks of last season. We had a collective stinker but we shouldn’t be offloading young talent on the back of that.Savio was a massive disappointment for me, flatters to deceive & can’t shoot.

He's 21, he can learn to shoot (scored 9 in la liga to make their TOTY btw), and its just fundamentally incredible unlucky to shoot at a 2% conversion rate - the lowest in Europe.
If he just shoots 10% (as a pure regression to the norm) its 5 goals.
Haaland, Marmoush, Doku, Foden, Bobb, Cherki, Reijnders, Echeverri. There's 8 without savinho and then there's Bernardo and O'Reilly who can operate further forward and potentially mukasa offering another option. We're not short in attack. Perhaps in variety, some may even argue quality but not in numbers.I don't disagree entirely but if we end up with only 6 attackers for 4 places and Savinho leaving so we can have all of Akanji, Ake, Stones as our 4/5/6th choices at CB or 3/4th choice full backs I'd think that was a poor distribution of resources.
You literally don't sell low on someone with a horribly low conversion rate because its incredibly likely to revert to the norm. He scored 9 goals the season before.Unfair. He can shoot
Unfortunately he’s more of a danger to the stewards in Row Z than the opposition goalkeeper
Read a stat today that suggested he had the worst shot conversion rate in the entire league last season
If they up the bid to £60m when Eze inevitably turns them down, then rip Levy’s arm off

Reijnders should be in midfield and Eche will go on loan. 1 injury to Foden or Doku (which is basically inevitable) and that's 5 guys for 4 roles 3 games a week, 1 of who has played the equivalent of 10 senior games ever. Bernardo can't play in the front 4 and has O'Reilly ever?Haaland, Marmoush, Doku, Foden, Bobb, Cherki, Reijnders, Echeverri. While I don't fully agree with that.. one can easily argue.. Erling and Foden made him look good by finishing.
The problem last season clearly was no one could get the ball to our strikers!
Nunes seems to do a good job there especially at the tail end of last season!

That's honestly a reason to keep a player, statistically.
If he scored a unrealistic amount of his shots and scored 1 goal, that is when you should worry.
He won't shoot 2% again, that's almost statistically guaranteed.I agree with all of those, especially the big man missing last season but Savio really couldn’t hit a barn door. I’ve just been told 2%…… that’s 1 goal every 50 shots….. fucking hell.
I honestly don't think the bloke who finished 4th in the Ballon d'or young player voting is going to continue to be the worst finisher in Europe. That’s nonsense mate, some players just can’t finish unless you think we should bid for the spotty number 9 from the Rags.
There’s a lot to be said for abandoning the inverted wingers bullshit. Everyone in the league has sussed it nowWhile I don't fully agree with that.. one can easily argue.. Erling and Foden made him look good by finishing.

Reijnders will be used more as what we would call a 10 than anything this season I suspect. We'll be looking for his running to offer us something different and chip in with goals. I also dont think we'll be going with a front 4 every game, some games, sure but i think we'll look to tighten up a bit with a more solid 4-3-3 fairly often too, leaving 1 fewer attacking spot to fill, particularly if we are deploying ait-nouri and nunes as attacking fullbacks.Reijnders should be in midfield and Eche will go on loan. 1 injury to Foden or Doku (which is basically inevitable) and that's 5 guys for 4 roles 3 games a week, 1 of who has played the equivalent of 10 senior games ever. That’s a big callHe won't shoot 2% again, that's almost statistically guaranteed.
He scored 9 goals in la liga in one year.
Even last season he had 52% shot accuracy. To score only 4% of those is almost unrepeatable.
Simply way more than 1 in 41 shots usually goes in, via deflection, keeper error whatever.
99th percentile for dribbling, key passes and assisting (that's pretty good)
