It's Quiet the £250m return

We have 2 right backs and he’s one of them, what makes them think we’d accept the same fee (or even entertain it) as we did for McAtee - a player who is in a position of players we’re stacked in?!

Was wondering how long it’d take for somebody to come and ask for Rico, though.

I wondered whether others saw him as a player suited to our system so not appealing to other sides.

He was in the very top tier of players for dribbling, key passes and assists for us.

If he hadn't had so many awful misses, say he just got 5, we'd be rightfully discussing him as a 100m guy we need to keep at all costs.

That said, Rodrygo is one of the better replacements we could get.

Agreed, but he didn’t.

Those 5 goals could have been another 10-15 points & that’s the levels. Those points could have put pressure on the Dippers & been the difference in a title.

Let's be charitable and assume they meant pounds. £25m + £5m for Rico is insulting given our right back situation, his home grown status, his contract having 3 years left to run and the fact they're offering similar money for an older player in McAtee with 1 year left on his deal who is far less valued by the club.

I've no idea WTF is going on, but Savinho to Spuds, then Rodrygo to City, then Donarumma to City & Ederson to Galatasary.

Now there are reports emerging City have rejected Forest's latest £25m plus add-ons offer for McAtee & NOW City have rejected a £25m plus add-ons offer also from Forest, for RICO LEWIS!

Yet, our ageing, injury-prone players remain. Why sell our future for peanuts, & cling on to our past?

This shortermism from City is a direct result of us not starting our squad rebuild right after the treble. We're now paying the price, by selling off our future.

My head's well & truly fuckin blown!

That's totally fair. I just think 23-29 year old Savinho, if he's here, does.

I wouldnt give up Doue, Barcola or Guler if we had them and I wouldn't give up Savinho either.

That is a Ballon D'Or contender in the making, if we can just work on the shooting.

I could have sworn Rico Lewis was a midget that couldnt hack it according to half of this forum. Alas, he has become much more valuable recently just like Savinho. Weird how that works

It was minor surgery on his achilles which was elective rather than forced, just the natural period out for it. Nothing like a ruptured achilles. I’ve had similar surgery in the past.
He's not available to train, from what I've read, until sometime late next month. If so, we would have to wait until January to move him on.

3 days ago it looked like we did all our business in 2 weeks. Now we could have a winger, potentially a right back and 2 new keepers on our hands. Madness.
