It's Quiet the £250m return

Based on our preseason, the ones I'd like to move out from the foreign legion would be ...
1. Akanji (replaced by Khusonov)
2. Bernardo (replaced by Gundogan)
3. Kovacic (replaced by Rodri when fit)

Obviously that is unlikely though.

I would like to keep Gundogan now. I feel like he can do a nice job in a deeper role but only with a more solid CB pairing behind him.

As for Savinho and Ederson, I'd have been happy for them to stay but the thought of Rodrygo and Dunnarumma seems exciting.

I'd like to see Lewis go on loan (because he's not a rb imo) and a very good English RB come in instead but I'm not sure one exists (Livramento doesn't seem very exciting to me). Maybe there's someone in the younger teams?

Only other wish list would be to keep Echeverri but I don't know if there's room.
Kova is injured untill Oct by which time Rodri will hopefully be upto fitness , untill then, hopefully we can see a bit of Nico G untill Rodri reaches full fitness

Ideally imo Kovacic would go on loan somewhere so he can be registered there for when he returns from injury and that club has little to no risk. Then if it worked out he'd be signed permanently.

Some other club might have spare non home grown spots and we could then use his spot to keep Echeverri. (Ideally)

A loan won't happen why would a club pay his wages when he's injured , I wouldn't bet against him leaving in January however, depends how the first half of the season went , and how Rodri recovers. Id imagine his spot is taken by Wharton next season

Akanji was left wanting on a few occasions last season and at times was all over the place. In his defence (no pun intended) I think he was carrying an injury. A few on here have suggested he'll be back somewhere near his best this coming season. Hope he does but I am a bit dubious tbh.

I think the fact Akanji and Kovacic are in Pep's top 10 is all people need to say - as opposed to no team has ever told a player that they appreciate the contribution but they might be best off leaving.

Whether they are in Viana's top 10 that's an interesting question.

Does look a bit like in January Viana bought replacements for players Pep has no intention of replacing and now the squad is distorted and bloated.

Wouldn't mind having the 100m on Gonzalez and Reis (who Pep seems keen to give zero games to) to get Rodrygo without sacrificing Savinho.
The deals we did in January were ones we felt we had to do simply to secure them. We didn’t want Reis or Khus being bought by someone else.

I’d be very surprised if any of Gundogan, Akanji, Ake and Stones got new contracts so we will be saying goodbye at the end of the year. Reis to come back with 40+ games under his belt etc

As someone already posted in another thread all this Ederson, Savinho, Donnarumma, Rodrygo stuff seems to be reactive , rather than planned, not like us at all.
Not sure if a good or a bad thing ha

I hope it is just the silly season because he is another top prospect.

Newcastle interested in Rico...............

Donnarumma and Rodrygo in would be fantastic imo. Rico rumours make things interesting in that we may need to sell an academy product for good money for the PSR profit and Newcastle have been linked with him so maybe Tino to us, Rico to Newcastle and we dont sell a homegrown for a non homegrown?

I could have sworn Rico Lewis was a midget that couldnt hack it according to half of this forum. Alas, he has become much more valuable recently just like Savinho. Weird how that works
Just wait till you see Ederson's rise!
