It's Quiet the £250m return

So we've gone from "but Pep likes him" to "he's got some trophies."

Congratulations on proving that Donnarumma is good with his feet.
I can't prove it, there is no proof. I never said otherwise.

You still haven't answered my question (in fact there are several in one post), because you don't have one. It's ok to admit it.

I wonder if you were one of the smartarses who came out with the same bullshit when people like me were on here saying that Kalvin Phillips was a bag of shite. Or that Grealish wasn't the next Zidane. Or that Matheus Nunes was utterly unremarkable.

Don't be afraid of a bit of critical thinking. You won't get a migraine or anything.
Critical thinking or incessant negativity?

No one has ever claimed Donnarumma is the world's best keeper in every aspect of his discipline. The stats show 3 distinct things.

1. Donnarumma isn't shit with his feet.

2. Ederson isn't a shit shot stopper.

3. Statistically Donnarumma & Ederson are number 1 & 2 respectively out of those considered amongst the world's elite keepers, hence our interest in one replacing the other.

Unless you'd like to provide your own statistical evidence to the contrary?

I'll wait...
As I said stats lie.....the eyes dont

He has been shown to be poor with his feet in a one horse league where they are easily the most dominant team.

Those same stats say Ederson is a great shot stopper..we know that isn't true either ftom watching him

People only quote stats when they can't argue something any other way

Critical thinking or incessant negativity?

It's realism.

You don't have to lie to yourself about Donnarumma's footwork or about how timid he is at claiming crosses. Nor do you have to belittle other people on here for worrying about those flaws.

It'a not incessant negativity to analyse players for what they are and how they might fit into what we've built. Analysis is critical thinking.

Can you provide statistical examples?

Or are you dressing up your personal opinion as fact?

Also, Donnarumma plays in the CL & is the keeper for Italy. Is international football & the CL one horse competitions?

Funnily enough, I was justified in asking about Kalvin Phillips. Turns out you were on that thread in June 2022 having a pop at me and others for daring to suggest he would be a waste of money. Same reasoning: "Pep says" etc.

Time is a flat circle, I guess.
What did I actually write, don’t paraphrase it.

You know better than Pep knows himself I guess.

You will be one of those that will be just waiting for the first mistake so you can tell this forum I told you so, very odd behaviour.

You have no other go to than stats. You clearly are a mathematics expert rather than a football fan...one set of stats provided by a YouTube at that.
Stats can be dressed anyway ....

Do those stats take into account the different level of league or player kee9ers are playing against....if they don't they are invalid as any type of evidence either way.

CL is a much smaller set of evidence from which to draw stats from as well do again are deceptive. Go watch him play then come back

So cutting to the chase, you have nothing to offer outside of your personal opinion then? Yes or no?

As for my personal opinion of both keepers, I rated both highly & never quite understood the narrative of Ederson being a shit shot stopper or Donnarumma being crap with his feet.

I had no stats to back my personal opinion up, but now a City channel has provided some. So again, dya have anything to offer outside of your personal opinion? It's a simple yes or no.

If yes, I wait with baited breath for your empirical data...

Serious question, have you ever watched donnaruma? I mean its one thing to argue his shot stopping, aura, 1 v 1 ability makes up for his faults with his feet. But to argue that he is not that bad(and in a way say he is good with his feet) is an odd observation because its simply not true.

Savinho pushing for the move.

Donnarumma agreement between clubs is very close. Expect news very soon.

Ederson to be given the green light.

Gundo and Akanji seeking new clubs, talks still on going. But both will move by the end of the window due to the club making it clear.

City are still looking at RB, and if a move is made Nunes will be allowed to leave. Nunes has options and it won’t be hard to move him on.

Baleba is still on the clubs radar. A city representative was at Everton watching him.

Positive about right back situation and the Baleba link is the stuff of dreams - although I think that's more likely next summer

Turkey accounts have gone big this morning with Ederson is Galatasaray player.

Manchester City has added Donnarumma to its squad.Ederson is Galatasaray's new goalkeeper, congratulations and best wishes

Will we definitely move for Rodrygo if Savinho leaves?
