It's Quiet the £250m return

The arse fell out of the team when Guardiola subbed Bernardo on for him. It's also when we started giving away far more transitions as Bernardo gave the ball away and/or lost the ball three or four times in the 15 minute spell before Pep moved him to the right side and put Phil in the middle. Cherki wasn't a problem. People expecting him to press like KDB are setting themselves up for disappointment.
Explain why he can’t press like KDB?

We're still at 28 players (not including Wilson-Esbrand, Kabore, Mbete). We've a little over five-and-a-half days to get rid of Ortega, Akanji, Gundogan and Phillips. That's before even thinking about bringing anyone in or selling Ederson and Savinho. It's well known that Pep likes a small squad, but he's never put a number on this. Is 24 or 25 still too large?

There is still time and we can only really judge things once the window has closed. But at this point, an awful lot needs to happen to get the squad how Pep would like it to be.

All the chances we created? Spurs had both more shots, and more shots on target, than we did.

At 0-2 down for the whole of the second half, we should have been throwing the kitchen sink at Spurs, but didn't have a shot on target in the second half until the 76th minute. That was a tame header straight at the keeper.

I admire your optimism and I do think we'll click, our manager and players are too good for it not to click at some point. But the Spurs game was absolutely not the beacon and hope of positivity we should be clinging on to.

As I said earlier when Pep subbed on Bernardo the dynamic changed negatively. First 55 minutes of the game should have garnered us at least 3 goals. That’s not an exaggeration nor happy clapping. In a month all those chances are buried and more are created too.

Another ill prepared start to the season.
did you not notice we had the CWC in the summer, besides we've had slow starts over the last 10 years with less pre season games than others, not worked out too bad has it ? Besides it's intentional not ill prepared.

Cherki was a problem because he was crap. No issue because everyone was. I keep seeing how we looked more dangerous with him in etc without recalling one chance he created. Stastically Bobb created the most chances for us whilst having the best passing accuracy. He didn't have a great game either.

It is ok to say when players dont play well, there seems to be an undying loyalty at times. We didn't progress when he got subbed as Bernardo was horrible when he came on too. Had Foden been subbed on for Cherki I imagine we would have seen it play out a little differently in terms of our attacking. There is no excuse for him not to press though, if he isn't going to put that in then we will have many performances like Saturday.

People slagging off Cherki not aimed at you , when in that Tottenham game he created most of our best opportunities, the cross to Haaland if Haaland could use his head that's an assist. He didn't have a bad game. He's done better than 150 million pound Wirtz.

That Marmoush miscontrol is fucking terrible. I could have killed that.

Rewatch and watch him on the ball, yes like the whole midfield wasn’t great but he is 21 in a new league against a team who are organised so well press so well! Silva came on and was worse!

I suggest you look at the video posted earlier.

I am not having a go at him, I like him as a player. What you are doing is giving excuses to his poor performances (which are more than valid) whilst then trying to defend that performance. He was crap, that's where it starts and ends. Silva was crapper, you are right. Taking a number 10 off for Bernardo is a poor decision even if Bernardo played well.

The majority of highlights him receiving the ball and passing it backwards doesn't impress me mate. A few glimpses and I am excited for him moving forwards. For KDBs replacement Saturday wasn't good enough. We won't go to hell for saying it.

That's because Silva has been dreadful for a long time now. He's run his blood to water for us over the years, but he's nothing left to give and has too many miles on the clock. I'd been highly critical of Silva's performances last season but thought he might bring a bit of cohesion when came on on Saturday. I was clearly wrong. Things arguably got worse. It's sad to see such a decline.

Nope I said the whole teams wasn’t great! Picking on a you player in new league when the experience players were worse! Dias for one not taking control of the situation with the Trafford error was shocking for me! He could see spurs pressing and played tippy tappy with Trafford he was that close to Trafford he should have said to him kick it long to Haaland! We rave about his he control of the back line but there he was piss poor for his experience under Pep!

Of course we won't, but I don't agree with your assessment of his game.

less than 130 hours left of the window. assuming Hugo Viana will go to bed each day and sleep about 7 hours at least (and may take some siesta in the afternoons as well:D) we are effectively under 100 hours time to do business.

his mobile phone is on the charger hopefully as all the business we didnt do all summer has to fit in now.

No one is picking on him christ. Do we just say he played well when he didn't? He is KDBs replacement, Saturday wasn't good enough but I am confident that he will have a top season. You don't see any raving of Dias from me, he has been next to useless for a while.

We were the best team from end of January in premier where Silva was playing midfield so that ain’t true..

I swear some fans only acknowledge negatives of players..
