It's Quiet the £250m return

Pep wants them to invert to dominate midfield. If all they're doing is running up the wing on the overlap hes happy with Nunes for that.

Doesn't help the position is occupied by 2 Pep projects.

But what right back has actually moved this summer that would improve our starting 11 in tactics we play (so not frimpong)?

The list of right backs we could have had is actually shockingly poor when you look.

Does anyone here want any of these players?

Very true but it’s a football forum to discuss things?

Of course, and you are perfectly correct. I apologise for picking your threads out.

You are clearly very " involved " in the topic of signings as is your right, whereas I just can't get myself to a similar level, probably due to being a FOC.

Jesus this window! Started on fire ending with everything feeling a bit chaotic and still with lots of gaps and questions. All sorts might be going on in the background and I hope it is. But everything feels shaky at the moment.

Hmm, can’t say I agree. Nothing on there looks like we missed out to me?

No I mean they're jaw droppingly bad mate.

There is potentially only 5-10 or so right backs we could get in football that are a clear upgrade on Rico and Nunes, which is not a compliment to those players.

We really have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and who we are actively trying to offload because the players still under contract hold all the power........however I hope Pep and the new DOF are aligned especially with regards to incomings.

I could be way off the mark but it seems as though some of the January signings were made by Viana ( rather than Txiki) with PEP obviously not fancying them ( Reis, Khusanov and Echeverri) or we couldn't offload some of the squad to create the spaces for the new signings.

However what we have got is an imbalanced squad and what looks like an unhealthy situation developing with players actively sitting on their final years contract.

Lets hope that Viana can work his magic before next week in a situation that he largely inherited.

I fully agree with you mate, we should have pushed the button on Dumfries imo when that clause was active?

Give the lad a year to settle and then he's already in decline on massive wages and with another 4-5 years on his deal.

Quality player but if we don't want another guy who won't leave until they're 34 theres no sense buying players over 26/27.

We signed Nico Gonzales on deadline day of the January window, anyone remember when we were linked with him before that? Felt it all happened quite quickly. We did similar before with Akanji too.

Maybe hope something similar happens again this time, with a signing out of nowhere.

Ah, see what you mean pal, it can be read both ways, lol.

It’d help if some of the outgoings got boxed off before we hit Monday though, it’s all rather depressing that we’ve reach Thursday afternoon and fuck all is confirmed when we thought there was a potential of about 6 going out in sales or primary loans! (Not including ones like Kalvin or Kabore etc)
