I have said it all summer. Now if the club feel like it’s not possible, it will not make a move. If Gusto becomes available. We will be there for sure.

Just speculating. I wonder if we’ll go for Fresneda from Sporting Lisbon. He’s young, technically good, solid, and can also play on the left if need be. Don’t think he’d struggle with the physicality, though the pace might be a surprise. If we’re leaving it so late, then maybe this is something that requires less discussion, ala Gonzalez, and Viana knows him. Might be the case that we need ‘foreign’ bodies out first. Sporting Lisbon also bought Vaggianidis from Panathinaikos earlier this month, who is very similar to Fresneda, so maybe they were buying ahead of a known sale. Sporting Lisbon are playing Porto tonight, with Fresneda starting.
