I know what Pep has continually said but I think he does need a bigger squad...look at what happens with injuries...one or two especially in key areas (Rodri, Stones) and we are short of quality

I do think you are right in that the rebuild will take longer. Ive got no expectations for this season at all other than trying to make sure we get top 4 - id love it to be different but my feelings are that we are going to find it difficult.

I have the exact same feeling. Our rebuild will take one more Summer and this season we'll try to get top 3 again.

I suspect I know the answer to that but, unlike some, he's quite smart about it really but it's a bit of good fun.

Exactly, I've said that many times too. He's a RB that is being forced to play all over the pitch. Today, he played as a left winger ffs.

Honestly mate I think that's harsh. He's had his bad moments but just to survive playing right back at 19 or 20 playing for a huge team is impressive.

There's obviously a bit of Pep that sees another lahm or alves in him (and we have to acknowledge he's ahead of them in his development, in terms of the level he's playing at). I'm not guaranteeing it by any means but we should see exactly what a 22 or 23 year old Lewis is yet. Which is why I imagine he got the extension.

I'd suggest he go out on loan or sold with a buyback. It's a big ask for us to afford him the time he needs to fully develop. I'm not trying to be harsh toward Rico, just pragmatic. I will give him his props for always being there when called upon but as a RB at our level he's in over his head.
