It's Quiet the £250m return

Employment law isn’t my bag, but I don’t think you can sack people under contract for being unable to get rid of other people under contract.

We’re the victims of our own success, I’m afraid, and will be for a while yet.
You can fire them for poor performance.

Their job is to recruit the best players to give us the best chance of winning. They clearly have not delivered over the past 3 years, and have failed to bring in the necessary players because they have not moved on from players fast enough. You pay them severance and move on.

Not against bringing in another RB in but the issue is who is available at this stage of the transfer window? The danger is we are too open to being shafted and we cannot afford a panic buy.

Is it like that on FM as it’s not in reality?

Who precisely do you want to see fired? Viana is trying his best to solve the mess of people who have already left. Alas, we cannot bring in better players until we move on others.

He knows the quality is missing

Not surprising we dominated for a decade. Had proper world-class midfielders like David Silva, De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo too. That's why loads on here didn't rate Mahrez - he was being compared to those legends and couldn't match them. But next to our current lot, Mahrez looks fucking brilliant.

Here’s a left field short term deal I do.

I bring Zinchenko back. Can deputize at left back and we can get him in easily. Has some bottle to him and worked well in pep’s system. I know, I know.

I’d bring that prick back who scored today too. If he can do 30 mins a game at right back he’d at least have some bite and brains.

I’d throw the bank at hakimi tomorrow. Whether you get him or not you try.

Bottom line is something has to be done at full back tomorrow. No action is inexcusable at this point

Trying isnt god enough.

When you have the worlds best run club with a substantial base of quality already there at your disposal, to come in Januaury and work next to one of the bet DOF in history and not identify/and or get that you need two right fullbacks and a powerhouse in midfield as well as at least one centre half then something is wrong.

My concerns were raised and intensified when after already buying Trafford, news broke we were after Donarumma - this guy at present doesnt get the prem league, the style of play or what is needed.

I wouldn't fire Viana.

But in the last 3-4 years we have seen teams quietly poach a lot of our scouting department, analytics department as well as other backroom staff in particular Omar that were incredibly important in building this team, and we have seemingly not replaced them with people who can identify talent as well as they can.

He’s a legend in English football let alone for us but it’s gone and it’s gone very Wenger at Arsenal now?
Time for a reboot. Only issue I have is do we keep the guardiola philosophy or move away to a more counter attacking team.

Not sure how this all plays out but surely we can all agree it’s not working anymore.

He could still turn it around.

Wenger went 9 years without winning a trophy at Arsenal. 14 without winning the league. And that was when there were only really 3/4 teams who could hope to compete.

Pep has gone 1.

Get a grip.
