Who's replacing Akanji? We get so many injuries.
Not great for getting in the German squad either.
He is 35 next month.
Thought Gundo retired from international football.
I’d have brought Gundo on against Brighton when we needed a goal. No guarantee but he still has that in him more than O’Reilly.Not sure how I feel about Akanji and Gundogan leaving. They certainly had their limitations but they got us over the line last season and for that we should be grateful. Stones, Ake, Nunes, and Phillips, should all have been out the door first, but circumstances dictate otherwise.
We would still have to move on 2 more non HG players after akanji to bring in a non HG right back
Ortega would be one of them. I'm sure this has been done to death but as I see it the 17 non-HG players will be:

Fuck knows what Pep will do, there's a chance we might not see Khusanov for a few more games as Pep will go back with Dias and Stones.
Bernardo looked like an old man yesterday trying to get around unfortunately, We need legs in the midfield and I'd happily see Nico O Reilly in there, someone who can even cover the ground would be nice.
Ederson will be replaced by donarumma in the squad so no change there.does that count Ederson, Ortega ?
Akanji, Ortaga and 1 more would be needed to leave for us to bring in a right back

I still think we brought on the wrong Nico, we needed control of the ball, Gundogan gives that as well but no longer has the necessary athleticism.

Yeah, our squad is full of world class players and the best talents around, its just the clueless manager, who somehow is arguably the most successful manager in history, thats holding this absolute world class squad back from winning the league.

Pity we didn't ask about Denzel Dumfries as part of the Akanji transfer.
Makes me laugh when one post is "our recruitment has been abysmal"
Then the next post is "I reckon we should give a 5 year deal and 200k a week to a 29 year old right wing back who's only played in a back 5 for the best part of a decade"

Any bloke from the street would make less mistakes so it doesn’t really matter, playing with the current iteration of Akanji is like playing with 10Who's replacing Akanji? We get so many injuries.
