It's Quiet the £250m return

It's his intelligence that stands out not his physicality. He's so intelligent in defending he knows exactly how to cut off passing lanes , doesn't dive into a tackle waits. He's just improving consistently.
Have you been watching him in Nice?
It is definitely hard to believe he is only 19.
He reminds me a lot of Vinnie in his playing style.

He'll be 30 and won't want to wait around for a rebuild i also see it happening.

100m please lol

1 year left on his deal next summer. Be around £60m if he goes.

Madrid will do what they have been doing with most of their signings recently and getting them to wind their contracts down so they can sign for free.

In which case he goes for free at the age of 31. I didn't start watching football because of finances and wanting to be an accountant. We keep him for as long as we possibly can and not a day less.

We need to work now for the summer of 2026.

My wishes:

Departures ≈ £213 million

Bernardo free
Akanji £13 million (Inter)
Grealish £50 million (Everton)
Savinho £70 million
Doku £50 million
Nunes + Kovacic £30 million

Arrivals ≈ £360 million

Olise £100 million
Barcola £100 million
Livramento £80 million
Wharton £80 million

Net spending ≈ £147 million

My group of 24 players which can be reduced to 23 with the departure of Stones or Ake

Donnarumma- Trafford- Bettinelli

Livramento, Rico Lewis, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, Ait nourri, Reis, Stones, Ake, O'Reilly.

Wharton, Rodri, Reijnders, Cherki, Foden, Nico Gonzalez.

Olise, Barcola, Marmoush, O.Bobb, Haaland.

Stones' contract expires in the summer of 2026. If he doesn't get injured this season, he'll sign a one-year extension. Ake has a contract until the summer of 2027. If he's injury-free, I'll keep him.

As for Nico Gonzalez and Echeverri, it all depends on their performances this season. If Nico performs well, I'll keep him, and I'll loan the Argentine, who is still young, for another season to play and gain even more experience.

Gotta appreciate the effort and thought that's gone into this post, but no way are we getting £120m for Doku & Savinho next summer. The only way they're worth such fees is if they show it on the pitch this season, and if they do, them I'd imagine we'd keep them.

I seem to have read that Tottenham has already made an offer for Savinho around 60M and that they were ready to make more efforts for him but the club closed the door to his transfer, after when I see the price of the transfers of Mbeumo, Cunha, Wisaa, Sesko, Woltemade... I tell myself that next summer the prices will increase again, and if they show a little quality to seduce clubs like Tottenham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, West Ham, Everton.. there may be a way to get 110 to 120M £ for them

Ortega, Stones is on the last year, i doubt they will be here next summer

I also doubt Ake will still be here

Livramento seems impossible

Larson, Baleba, Guerra, Stiller seems better options than Wharton imho

I doubt we would sign Barcola

That's a really good effort. I reckon those departure amounts may be a little optimistic, but by the time you throw in some academy sales then £213m feels attainable. I think Stones and Ortega will leave and we'll sell Ake, so I can envisage nine first-team departures and a total well in excess of £200m coming into the club.

I'm not happy with Dias and Lewis getting new deals, but that's the situation - they will be here in a year's time.

We have four big youngsters out on loan - Reis, Nypan, Echeverri and Bah - but I think Reis will be the only one who isn't loaned out again.

I'm not sure what we'll do with Nico O'Reilly. I hope he makes it with us but it might be touch-and-go. I'll say he probably stays for now.

With Stones and Ake likely going, I've got a feeling we might go for five signings next summer. This would give us 23 players - nominally two players for every position plus an extra goalkeeper.

Baleba + I would keep one of Doku/ savinho. Going into the season with barcola and Olise as the only real wingers is crazy. Apparently Olise has a hidden clause next summer + I don’t see PSG ever selling barcola. Don’t see him leaving either. Stones and Ake will be gone and replaced by Bah and Reis. Bah is more than ready. Pacy + an airplane. Something we desperate need with Dias and weeks/ months ago akanji being here.

In: Bah, Reis, Wharton/ Baleba, Olise/Barcola, Real RB
Out: Ake. Stones, Bernardo, Nunes, Grealish, Akanji, Doku/ Savinho.

Honorable mention wouldn’t mind if stayed the same: Lewis, Dias out.

Spoilt fan post…

Firstly, I’m ok with not winning trophies, old enough to see before the money, so a bad season now, would be an achievement we could not dream off etc.

That all said, what has happened has happened and as such we are a lot bigger club, with higher expectations and are lot more money.

Our net spend for last 5 years is behind Arsenal, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newacastle, Tottenham, West Ham and Forest.

Why??

We where lead to believe clubs where worried they could not compete with WCW money, the academy has earned us a fortune and we have the highest turnover.

Yes, we have a high wage bill which does effect, but every year we get the talk and expect the gloves are off and in fact it turns out very considered window.

I don’t mind it, but some point would like us to show our financial might!

A whole season without a RB is crazy!

I don’t get to watch the academy but people who do say last youth team are amongst the best we’ve ever had. Perhaps that’s a factor in our transfer business. Ordinarily in a preseason tour done of the lads may have featured but as we only had one preseason friendly we only saw Mukasa.

With Akanji and Gundogan gone and Cherki, Gvardiol, Foden, Kovacic, Savinho and Khusanov injured to some degree there will be spots open in the squad.

yep I recall too that other clubs was very "angry" as per media that us and Chelsea will get serious sums from CWC to help our summer window as a one off big income.

maybe we again will act in January and left some money in the bank.

btw, did Carson find a club? or retired? felt like he could go another 5 seasons in the role he had with us. was probably shocked when Viana told him its over. wont get that salary anywhere.

he was part of the furniture kind of at the training ground.

legendary moment when he was shouting off with Atletico players in the tunnel after a CL game. was bloody good game Savic and all that.:)

Bettinelli has a lot to do to grow up to the stature of Carson.
