It's Quiet the £250m return

Watch Mourinho's football heritage thing again.

We might not like it but he did bed in players at Real Madrid that could win and win long term.

And that's what we have to do/ are doing.. buy promising young talent and hope they peak at City rather than buy ready made/ over the hill players.

Craziest thing is Arteta is ahead of us and would not surprise me if he won a PL or two with the hard work he's done.
Agreed 100%. My issue is that we should've been doing exactly as you say, but from 2-3 years ago. The reason why we didn't is down to Pep.

He believed his treble winners had more in the tank & he also believed his small squad philosophy would suit us better. It worked, but he ended up rinsing our ageing, injury-prone squad dry, until they had fuck all left to give, whilst neglecting the obvious succession planning we quite evidently needed. Utter madness!

And that's the reason his beloved coaching staff got the axe. They seriously got something wrong last season but he still had credit in the tank to go again.

IMO don't keep players here longer than 5-6 years unless they are exceptional.

Like Laporte/ Mahrez left at the right time. And we somehow compounded that by letting Palmer go.

Here we go again, talking shit about the things you really don't know i see.

Look it's always going to be go down when we reach the absolute zenith ie achieving treble season few years ago. Maintaining that kind of form and mentality ie City always win something and more for the last 8 years isn't going to last forever, at the end of day they only just fucking human and not fucking robots where everything is going as planned and will last forever.

There will always going something that screw your season ie key player getting injured, we are not always getting what we want in summer transfer for whatever reasons, etc.

Sometime i wish City fans must learn that not everything is club faults and there's another factors of why things don't working so well last season.

Nope, we got it wrong and Kaldoon admitted it. This summer we weren’t ruthless enough with the squad clear out and it will show it to be so as the season progresses. Let’s hope we have 2 or 3 genuine world class players coming in next summer

Did you really watch the full interview or just only confirm your biases?

He not only acknowledge that there mistakes (not denying it) but also there's another factor that not even the club itself could predict like last seasons.

Look at the end of day not even the best working plan will be going as planned, there will always be many factors that even the club management can predict and outside of their control no matter how much they tried to migitate it.

Can’t get away from the quality of signings has been lower than the likes of Yaya Silva etc excluding Haaland

You are allowed to blame the club too.

There would have been some outside factors for sure, but the club have made poor decision after poor decision.

Our wing options are horrendous, we’ve spent 150 million on a Rodri partner/rotation and we’re still no closer. We have no rb, having to rely on a failed midfielder to play there. Too many of the players on stupid contract lengths and looking to extend some who are not good enough, not to mention the bizarre Savinho situation. I still think the club showed a lack of ambition in the window again, if Cherki and Reijnders cost what they should of I doubt we would of got them.

All you have to do is listen to Rodri’s and Haalands recent interviews, they are clearly not happy with something, I’m certain Haaland didn’t sign a ten year contract with the promise of Doku/Savinho/Nunes spamming crosses into the box for him. There’s a reason why fans are starting to worry about Rodri not signing an extension.

Agreed, but on the other hand, until Rodri proves his full fitness on the pitch, I cannot imagine that the club will extend him.

I mean even Dias and Lewis got an extension. Doubt it’s not going to happen

With Savinho, I worry we won’t see the kind of money spurs offered ever again but it’s much the same story.
It was telling that Pep said it was a club decision not to sell Savinho, which further leads me to believe that Pep's influence over squad planning has been reduced.

Savinho was one of the few bright sparks we had in parts of last season. He just needs to brush up on his decision making & finishing, as he's only 21 & has enormous room for growth. He needs to be given a fair chance to make his mark.

I honestly don't get why 21 year old Savinho is constantly being compared to 27 year old, former PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez.

Adrien Thomasson is 32 year old AM, i doubt we would watch him, at best he is a CFG signing for Troyes or Girona
same for Akpa and Ganiou

Kevin Danois tho is intriguing talent, seems really interesting box to box midfielder

Bournemouth bid for him in the summer

Not according to some of this lot here. If the club was a living entity, it would shit sunshine, rainbows, and sweets.

Now then, yes support the club and love the club. If they fuck up it is ok to acknowledge it. Same with the players, support them and don't slate them unnecessarily. But, it's ok to give fair criticism.

I look at it like this, I love my kids. I always will love them no matter what. However, if they do something stupid it is ok for me to say, "You did something stupid." Or, if they come home from school and they receive bad marks on an exam because they didn't prepare well enough, they need to do better and I can tell them to do better. It does not mean I am against them.

Rumours Inter want to make the Akanji deal permanent which is good for us, apparently had a fine start to life there.
