100 more. We are addicted to buying one every yearHow many CBs does the club need ?
Agreed 100%. My issue is that we should've been doing exactly as you say, but from 2-3 years ago. The reason why we didn't is down to Pep.Watch Mourinho's football heritage thing again.
We might not like it but he did bed in players at Real Madrid that could win and win long term.
And that's what we have to do/ are doing.. buy promising young talent and hope they peak at City rather than buy ready made/ over the hill players.
Craziest thing is Arteta is ahead of us and would not surprise me if he won a PL or two with the hard work he's done.

He believed his treble winners had more in the tank & he also believed his small squad philosophy would suit us better. It worked, but he ended up rinsing our ageing, injury-prone squad dry, until they had fuck all left to give, whilst neglecting the obvious succession planning we quite evidently needed. Utter madness!
Nope, we got it wrong and Kaldoon admitted it. This summer we weren’t ruthless enough with the squad clear out and it will show it to be so as the season progresses. Let’s hope we have 2 or 3 genuine world class players coming in next summer
Can’t get away from the quality of signings has been lower than the likes of Yaya Silva etc excluding HaalandDid you really watch the full interview or just only confirm your biases?
He not only acknowledge that there mistakes (not denying it) but also there's another factor that not even the club itself could predict like last seasons.
Look at the end of day not even the best working plan will be going as planned, there will always be many factors that even the club management can predict and outside of their control no matter how much they tried to migitate it.
You are allowed to blame the club too.Did you really watch the full interview or just only confirm your biases?

Agreed, but on the other hand, until Rodri proves his full fitness on the pitch, I cannot imagine that the club will extend him.You are allowed to blame the club too.
There would have been some outside factors for sure, but the club have made poor decision after poor decision.
Our wing options are horrendous, we’ve spent 150 million on a Rodri partner/rotation and we’re still no closer. We have no rb, having to rely on a failed midfielder to play there. Too many of the players on stupid contract lengths and looking to extend some who are not good enough, not to mention the bizarre Savinho situation. I still think the club showed a lack of ambition in the window again, if Cherki and Reijnders cost what they should of I doubt we would of got them.
All you have to do is listen to Rodri’s and Haalands recent interviews, they are clearly not happy with something, I’m certain Haaland didn’t sign a ten year contract with the promise of Doku/Savinho/Nunes spamming crosses into the box for him. There’s a reason why fans are starting to worry about Rodri not signing an extension.
I mean even Dias and Lewis got an extension. Doubt it’s not going to happenAgreed, but on the other hand, until Rodri proves his full fitness on the pitch, I cannot imagine that the club will extend him.

He's been called lots of thingsI thought you meant he’s a heating engineer.
It was telling that Pep said it was a club decision not to sell Savinho, which further leads me to believe that Pep's influence over squad planning has been reduced. With Savinho, I worry we won’t see the kind of money spurs offered ever again but it’s much the same story.
Adrien Thomasson is 32 year old AM, i doubt we would watch him, at best he is a CFG signing for Troyes or Girona
same for Akpa and Ganiou
Kevin Danois tho is intriguing talent, seems really interesting box to box midfielder
Not according to some of this lot here. If the club was a living entity, it would shit sunshine, rainbows, and sweets. You are allowed to blame the club too.
