Wouldn't be a terrible deal from our POV.

He's not getting many minutes here, so this would put him in the shop window whilst at another big club and in the Euros next summer.

If he performs, he either convinces us he's got a future here, or we can sell him for a bigger fee than we would have this summer.
Except for the part where our leftbacks would then be Benjamin Mendy playing in a condensed season and Nathan Ake playing out of position.

Mendy, Cancelo and (probably) Ake are all ahead of him at LB. Why would Zinchenko himself want to stick around for a year stagnating behind them?

I would imagine the club will be open to him sticking around, but the player himself might not.

Is he not getting many minutes here tho ? He was first choice left back last season could argue Mendy might have been if he was fit. He was also first choice Left back in a title winning side though again perhaps it would have been Mendy if fit. Non the less he has done well for us and a lot better than people think I like the midfielder at left back idea. We have not bought a replacement and are getting a lot of injuries that being said perhaps you could argue he is very low down the list I think we need to try and get Mendy back to fitness and form and I rate Cancelo at left back and he is too good to be on the bench for RB all season and Ake can also play there. On the other hand should we not be selling players of his quality and age for very good money right now even with Covid ? Although I do think we should get more for him after he plays in his favoured position for the national team after the euros. If Liverpool had him they would some how find a club to buy him for 20 million now. Was interest from Wolves and Leicester right ?

A loan? fuck no. In what way does that help us. There will be a price, it won't be massive, they can pay that and take him. He would inprove their defence And midfield.

A successful loan for Zinchenko could mean he becomes a £30-40m player by next season if he's given a spotlight at a big club (and in the Euros in the summer) playing in his actual role.

Would you prefer to sell him now for £15m, or wait a season and double it? I know what City would rather do.

It's likely bollocks anyway, but there is logic to loaning out a fringe player like Zinchenko - he's got 4 years left on his contract, so there's no fear of him running it down at this stage and him staying at City playing 1000 minutes in cup competitions isn't going to do anything for his value as a player.

So we are buying 2 more cb's? Surely not. That means no place for Stones.

There are strong rumours we (Everton) are interested in bringing him back. I know @tolmie's hairdoo mentioned it in here somewhere a while ago but I cant see it myself unless its a loan as I dont think we are looking to spend ££ on a CB at the minute.

Ruben Dias has the nickname "The Boss" apparently for benfica maybe we've gone for him cause hes a leader
