Look after yourself pal. Hope all good. Weird times we are living through at the moment

It is weird and people seem to forget we are still living with this Pandemic

It as an effect on all forms of life but people still expect signings to go through as they would have done prior to Covid

Koulibaly would still have dragged on because of the fucking owner but other transfers would have been sorted sooner

The main concern for everyone is keeping safe and anything else is a bonus

In that case buy Koulibaly first. Get the essential deal done. We could have made just the one signing this Summer (Koulibaly) and put ourselves back in contention. Perhaps we probably still will move but you have to wonder now.

I think that can be part of the problem when Khaldoon himself says there will be more players (plural) arriving then it’s fair for expectations to be higher? Then the top city journalists all saying that the signings would be done for pre season which hasn’t panned out either?

For everyone worrying about lack of signings btw, I think it's worth looking at the activity of other clubs for comparison.

United have one signing and Liverpool have none.

Barcelona have the strange Pjanic swap and the only other likely first teamer is a 20 year old Portuguese winger for €30m.

Real Madrid have made no moves to date.

PSG signed Icardi (who we wouldn't have wanted but still) and a backup goalkeeper.

Bayern took Leroy from us and did their usual trick of fucking over another Bundesliga team by tapping up their Goalkeeper and having him run down his contract.

Only Chelsea have made several significant first team signings.

It seems like it's not an easy summer and there's a lot left in the tank for the end of the transfer window.
Liverpool have none - really?

For what it's worth, I agree with that.

I think the market is just incredibly slow because clubs had committed spend based on known income and then covid, a force majeure event, came in and incomes plummeted.
This situation has left very many, if not almost all, clubs in a precarious financial position and struggling to pay existing wage commitments never mind take on new liabilities.
There's also the fact that 'past their best' players, leaving big clubs at the latter end of their careers are generally on higher wages than the lower clubs can easily afford, even without this current situation.
Add into that mix the thought that clubs don't even know when they'll get supporters back into grounds again, in decent numbers, and it's quite amazing that any business is being done at all.

Me too. I've been banging the drum for a while, but Torres is going to bang in the second half of the season. Think he's going to be a hell of an addition to our attack and going to give us a balance we've lacked since 17/18 season.

I don't want to get carried away about any young player or unproven signing but this guy has gone under the radar a bit and might just surprise a few people.

I always marvel at posters on this forum who talk about Bluemoon as if it somehow isn't 'social media' and how we're meant to believe there's somehow less bollocks posted on here than there is on places such as Twitter or Facebook.

Anywhere on the internet where people can leave an opinion anonymously, is a place where there is a hell of a lot of bollocks spoken.

The divergence in opinions here and elsewhere tells you that there is a load of unmitigated crap posted: we can't all be right.

Difficult to buy a player from that club when dealing with an idiot.

We clearly won't pay his valuation, so to me we have to move on, but quality CB are few and far between.
