I don't get this 'sound fella' or 'he's a good lad' stuff, what's his personality got to do with his job which should be reporting actual news (preferably backed up by facts)?

I think it's just a natural response for the over the top bollocks posted whenever someone mentions his name on here.

You can report on something and still be wrong in sporting journalism. People desperately want him to be Ornstein or Paul Joyce for some reason. We have plenty other journos for that.

I'd like to think if Sam was going to post on here he'd do so under his own name and fight his corner in a professional manner. If Stuart Brennan can then there's no reason Sam can't.
Maybe he isn't that arsed what some blues think of him?
Personally I'd happily sign up to the biggest forum of the team I covered.

Did you know the words 'Conspiracy theory' was first used by the CIA as a counter to people questioning the Kennedy assassination? Tinfoil hat is another(though this is more of an internet forum thing). Surprised it still works to this day.
