I love it when Mansour posts on the transfer forum.

Just basic logic mate - it’s not difficult.

We’re at a one in one out situation now. People jumping up and down saying - we need a CB, LB, CM and CF in by the end of the window or Txiki needs sacking are going to be disappointed.

And apparently - a word chosen for a reason - we’re touting Zin about to clear a spot for a left back.

Optimally, we sell Garcia, Stones and Zinch and sign a CB (apart from Dias) and a LB. There is not enough time but we can't rely on Stones to stay fit, and both Mendy and Zinch are not good at LB. Zinch isn't injury free either.

With Otamendi leaving (which seems certain). We have space for 1 more after Diaz. Zinchenko would make it 2.

We have space. The question is if the club is willing to spend? Are the right players available?

Not sure that’s right mate, as we’ve got 5 non club-trained home grown players in the squad, when the limit is 4, so one takes up a foreign spot.

But if you know different - fair enough. I’d love to be wrong on this!

Scott Carson can be left out of the Champions League squad, you only need 2 senior goalies as long as you have an academy one registered as well. We left Richard Wright out a few years back

With Muric and Bazunu both out on loan, I’m not sure there’s anyone we’d trust to be on the bench in the CL if needed. But they may risk it - so you could be right.

Really need to sign some stronger personalities and some pace and aggression in midfield.

We're far too soft and too slow. We need some proper dickheads in the team that will not meekly give up if we concede a goal.

You make a good point. We need more character. Our best days were when people like Yaya and Zaha stood up to be counted in big games.

With Muric and Bazunu both out on loan, I’m not sure there’s anyone we’d trust to be on the bench in the CL if needed. But they may risk it - so you could be right.

It is definitely worth it. If we are so unlucky that both Ederson and Steffen are injured at the same time. I'm not sure the difference between playing an EDS keeper or Carson is that big. We'd be fucked anyway.
