Presuming you're talking about playing the City way then there is no debate whatsoever about Eddie or Alison, it's Eddie all day long. In fact you could include every goalie in the world in the debate and there still would be no debate.

These "who would get in whose team?" Comparisons are fun but pointless when the two teams have completely contrasting styles of play. I'd say not many of ours would get in their team and vice versa.

Personally I prefer our style of play but it has less margin for error. Theirs is sustainable for a longer period because the key asset for Liverpool players is strength and speed. There are more of them about that the technically gifted players we need to execute our style of play.

We won’t know how they would of handled the loss of van dijk or say mane and sala at the same time. I would imagine they would of struggled.

They have a very good team and luck and Var is all behind them. Liverpool = good and MCFC =bad. The American have always been good at winning the propaganda war.

The only real difference between us and them is efficiently. They are lethal and ruthless in front of goal and we are not.

They can win games 1-0, or 2-1 & don't normally concede many goals v top 6. We regularly let im 2 or 3 vs those teams. That won't be the case if VVD goes missing & set pieces against will become a problem again, plus they won't score as many.

If we regain the ability to win low scoring games, especially v top 6, we will be level or above them. If we don't we won't.

We get quicker & fitter as a team, we can do 'Liverpool' as well as doing 'City'.

Pep would have no problem getting City to play that way, as well, other than the physical.

We had 1 glaring issue last year and that was CB and it has been well and truly fixed.

Ferran is going to be one of the best forwards in the league by May.

This side is already 12-15 points better than last season.

I agree with the your assessment. Dias Laporte partnership is a sound platform for us to build on.

I like the optimism mate and agree Van Dijk is very important for Liverpool. Overall I respectfully disagree though.

To be brutal, 2 seasons back if I had to pick a first 11 then I would pick 6 City players and 5 Liverpool. Today, it would be 2 City players and 9 Liverpool.

If City were near good enough we wouldn't be relying on key Liverpool players getting injured.

To be brutal, that is absolute horse shit. To suggest that many dippers wour usurp our players is comedy gold
