Yeah agree on the left back , mendy is not good enough and will get injured again so players filling in again . I am a bit confused , some say we have a space but others say we have to sell one first , do you know ?You missed the point Kaz, it was looking at how the squad has improved, Foden and Bernardo, etc were in the squad last year.
I feel positive about the 3 signings and hope my optimism will only increase when they settle in, I do also believe we could have improved further by deals like Aouar (rumour or not) and a natural left back with Tagliafico touted at €25m.

I really piss myself laughing when people say Gundo isn't good enough. Pep very obviously thinks he is but posters on here think they know better. He's also a regular for the German national side, under a manger who has won the World Cup.
Gundogan has his faults and, like Mendy, serious injury seems to have taken something from him but he has technique and intelligence of a very high order.
I dont think most prople think hes that bad but for us he either plays as a second holding player , doesnt win enough and we lose a lot of creativity. As an attsckong midfielder doesnt do anywhere nesr enough. Decent plsyer but just doesnt add enough to our team

We've replaced a shit Bravo with what looks to be a decent keeper, we've replaced an injured Leroy Sane with one of the most promising young players on the planet, we've got two centrebacks in who immeditalely and vastly improve out defensive personnel and we've replaced a past it Silva (sorry David) by signing a winger so that Foden can be put back in midfield.
Even if you're as pessimistic about this season as I am, it's not for a lack of improving the squad.

Not that I'd expect 7 signings in 1 window but we could have pulled off another 2 or 3. Maybe Douglas Luiz, Aouar or a left back had we tried to offload players earlier.

I look at our squad after the window and think our squad is the best in the league not doubt whatsoever.

If we had not had that frankly bizarre result v Leicester people would be a lot more confident. Like we were after Wolves.
