So right now we have;
Mendy; who is all over the place and an accident waiting to happen
Zin; who at best is adequate and is not a natural LB, also doesn't defend great!
Cancelo; who is a RB and again playing out of position on the left.
Ake; who is a decent stop-gap, who can play there, but is a CH primarily.

Doesn't exactly fill you will supreme confidence does it?

if we are serious title contenders, we shouldn't be fking about with LB......again!!!

Gives the club a season to really scout the better replacement. In Pep's first season he had both aging Kolarov (who he converted to a left sided centre back) and Clichy

So pretty much the same as we had when winning the league twice, breaking records.....I'm sure you have some logic in there somewhere, but I'm fucked if I can see it !!

Well for a start we didn't have either Ake or Cancelo, who are both the better back-ups!
Mendy has gone backwards big-time
Zin has likewise gone backwards but was never that great IMO - quite like the lad, but he's sadly lacking at this level.

I think it was our inability to move one of the above out that inhibited us bringing someone in.... can see us ever shifting Mendy but Zinchenko must have opportunities elsewhere - he’s just not keen to go. In some ways it makes a refreshing change to see someone want to stay and fight for his place.
