I'd count Fernandinho out of that scenario. Lockdown and now back to back seasons have come at the wrong time for him. Can't see him being a bit part player because he'll be even further off the pace when he does play.
Ideally he needs replacing as well.

He's been very decent for Villa mate, their fans are desperate to keep him. Sorry to say, but Fernadinho is about finished as a player, and certainly as a midfielder. No idea if Luiz will be an upgrade.

Arguably an upgrade on our other options in this position given how important mobility tends to be in the PL.
