Feels like deal-hunting rather than getting someone who'll seriously improve our first team tbh. City do this too much.

I don't think you can accuse the club of 'deal hunting' when we have the biggest collection of £40-60m players in Europe.

But arsenal, United, Liverpool and Chelsea all pay 70 mil plus for players when needs be, we don't. Multiple examples of this in recent years. Guarantee they've looked at other mids who would actually get into our first team and gone nope.

Yeah he'll be a useful squad player but we need first team improvement for me. You solidify the squad once your first team is sorted.

Paying huge fees does not always equate to getting a great player. Seems very naive to think otherwise

This might be a good indication that we will be after messi. Because we wont be buying Aauar as he is a more expensive buy. We need a DMF than a AMF.

I believe nwe are no where near agreeing deal for CB but who knows
