Maybe? Or maybe there's some excitement to see Messi in the Premier League, and disbelief that after 20 years of football, Bartomeu should seek to trap him in red tape.

It`s not a great advert for Barca to show present and future players alike. It`s more of a stark warning that whoever you are and what ever you`ve won for the club they will still treat you with contempt.

As much as I'd quite like to see Messi at City from a PR oint of view (as would the Premier League), I can't help the feeling that I'll be crushed if we do sign him but no centre-half and left-back (and perhaps midfielder).
