Only Pogba. And being honest in our team with Pep he'd probably be pretty decent.

Koulibaly and Sancho are better than the others though and would have more impact on a team signing them.
You can't possibly know that though. Just because a player works in one system (e.g. Vardy at Leicester), doesn't mean he'll work in another system or with other players. A player who suits us may not suit someone else, put David Silva at Burnley and he would have been sold in less than 12 months by Dyche because he couldn't kick it far enough or high enough.

Martinez in his frame and game looks like a Kun type player. But the output is a real worry. 19 year old Kun was bagging 27 goals in all competition whereas a 22 year old Martinez went as high as 19 goals this year. But Aguero is a generational talent and there is no one like him. Is there something besides goal and assist that he offers that has made up the mind of our scouts and Pep ?

On that basis no-one would sign anybody. Of course no player is guaranteed a success, but I think the better the player the more chance there is. If Messi signed for Burnley he'd still be amazing, maybe just not as effective as he is at Barca because of their tactics and the players around him.

Similarly, with Pep and our squad, most very good players are probably likely to improve and enhance the team. Nothing is guaranteed but a player like Sancho or Koulibaly is probably a better bet than say, Soyuncu or Grealish.

No, offer cash plus Otto, Zinch, Cancelo?

80m plus a lot of add ons, and the fee spread over 5 years
Cancelo is staying, Otamendi is heading to Valencia, presumably as part of the Torres (Almada?) deal, and Zinchenko would be better used as a makeshift in any Koulibaly deal.

Nothing like a bit of amateur dramatics, give it a rest. Other posters have tried and failed with that argument on several occasions, so I'll save you the embarrassment.

I'm not embarrassed by my opinions on anything thanks, too old to give a fuck what anyone else thinks. It's a shame you ruined an interesting debate trying to be superior though.

It's nothing to do with being superior, it's an argument we've seen a million times on here and one I'm not going to repeat because it's boring.

Ake
Torres
Aouar
Centre Half (koulibaly or Plan B)
Alt Nouri

would be a good summer

Martinez on top of that would be a very good summer - always a risk with this type of transfer, Will he fit in the prem, will he adapt, will he settle? - but that is a risk with the vast majority of players

Plus Yan Couto and Zak Steffan
And there is still the potential of Almada as well

Grelish instead of Aouar or Kane instead of Martinez would for me diminish the transfers for me

Considering we’re looking for a left back I’m surprised we haven’t been linked with Jamal Lewis. Seems quick and is pretty attacking.

Norwich want £20m but I’d say he’ll be pretty annoyed his Liverpool move fell through so maybe some slight room for manoeuvre on price.

Definitely Leaving/Left:
Silva
Bravo
Sane

Probably Leaving:
Otamendi
Zinchenko
Garcia

Maybe Leaving:
Stones

Unlikely but not impossible:
Bernardo

You'd assume at least one of the probablies will fall through but even if they do you're looking at likely 5 high profile departures. Most since summer of 2017.

Ins:
ake - £41m
Torres - £21m
Koulibaly- £65m
Jamal Lewis - £20m
(Unknown fifth signing)
Total - £147m (maybe more if forward signed)

Outs:
Otamendi £8m
Garcia £20m
Sane £50m
Zinchenko £20m
Angelino £15m
Total - £113m
Net - £34m

It’s hard to see us signing a forward due to the lack of available options of genuine quality. There’s been little to no links regarding Martinez, but we’d have a healthy summer window without or without a forward acquisition.

Heard a left back from a French club has been shown round the CFA. I thought they said from Nantes, but checking their squad, I can't see an obvious candidate (one 28yr old left back).

So you heard it here first - we may be interested in a left back who may play in France. Definite ITK status...
Probably Rayan Aït-Nouri from Angers. French left back and we have been linked, it fits.

He's done pretty well in the Prem this season.
